Still here…

Just haven’t been feeling well.  The acid reflux has been bad as of late, and today I finally decided to try to eat a bland diet in hopes it will help heal my stomach. I am trying to avoid the scope down the throat by all means. I know this means strict weight loss to get the fat off my inner organs, but I am finding that hard to do. But I am still working on it, so I am hopeful. Smile

I have some stuff I want to share with you guys and I hope to be able to do that in the next few days. Just haven’t felt like thinking to put out nicely worded posts, but I will get those done in the next week. I still have a lot to do and people to catch up with. If you’ve sent me an email or left me a message of some kind, I’m super sorry I haven’t gotten back to you yet but I will.  I promise.

And that’s all for today guys and dolls.  I’m going to go back to relaxing, my anxiety is up because the acid is stealing my breath from me today, and just focus on how much better I will feel tomorrow and the day after that.  Small steps, taking it day by day.  Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the end of the weekend.  Talk to you again soon. Be good until then.  Bye for now.

Screw it people! I need to talk!

Yeah, I’m back here talking again because I need to just talk and really don’t know where to do it.  In the past couple of days life got hectic for others around me and I can’t help but feel stressed over it.  I don’t even know where to start.  I guess with my family.  So both my parents have diabetes and high blood pressure.  Now my dad’s is more under control, but my mom has had both longer and it’s out of control and she doesn’t take care of herself, well neither of them do, but she’s worse off.  I’m worried about her big time and don’t want anything bad to happen to her.  And I know life is so crazy that something could happen to her and that thought just scares me.  I can’t imagine my life without my mom in it.  I know one day I will have to face that truth but I would like to think I have a good amount of time before I have to face that horrible moment.  My sister and I have been trying to get her to watch her sugar but it’s not easy when my dad keeps bringing unhealthy crap into the house.  I can’t say I’m innocent of such acts, but I worry more about others than myself.  Yeah, my mom’s the same way.  Sad smile

Nope, not a fan of Spring, but it’s here for the next three months so let’s make the most of it.  Smile  Here’s hoping your first day of Spring was awesome.  Smile

Matte spray is not created equal.

So I am working on a face-up of a doll started back in during Dizzy’s Place days.  It’s a My Scene Chelsea and well, it’s going ok-ish except for one problem, the matte spray I am using is more satin than matte.  Sad smile  If you are going to sell a matte spray then make sure it’s matte.

The spray I am using is the Krylon Matte Finish spray.  It dries quickly, outside you don’t smell the odor when you spray, and it has it’s own built in way of keeping the nozzle clean.  You can start working on it again after about 10 minutes of drying and depending on if you followed the directions there is minimal to zero tackiness.  It’s awesome except for the fact that it makes it look like the doll is sweating like crazy.  Sad smile  I am hoping that maybe it just needs to dry fully over night, but something tells me that isn’t the case.  I settled on that one because everything else was glossy at the store I was buying it from.  I might have to try Hobby Lobby for another spray.  I was looking for the ones suggested in the Monster High tutorial I showed you guys a few posts back.  I didn’t want to get MSC since I’d have to wait on shipping and I wanted to try some stuff now.  Sad smile  Oh well, I will see how it looks in the morning and decide what to do then.  The layers are helping with the face up, but she looks like summer is here and thriving and I don’t like that.  I’ll update you on her look tomorrow.

Also I am working on rerooting a Liv doll wig.  I cut out the hair, which had to be the easiest hair to remove.  Since it’s done with the loop rooting method, all you have to do is loosen up and pull out a root or two from the part or thatch and then cut the hair short as possible the you can pull out each row easily from the inside of the wig to remove the little bits.  I flipped the cap inside out and just scratched the little hairs off with my nail.  Was done in no time.  So now I have a cap ready to go.  I also decided to prep my hair by cutting it into the length I wanted.  I’ve had this pink Volks hair I won off of Ebay for years now and decided it was time to use it.  It was so hard to make that first cut but once I did the rest went smoothly and now I have 4 bunches of hair ready to be rooted.  Can’t wait to get started on that tomorrow too.  It feels nice to be crafting with dolls again.  I missed it.  I’ll have pictures tomorrow for you to see of my current status.  Until then be good. Smile  Bye for now.

The most awesome customizing tutorial.

{source}

Hey guys, so while surfing the web in the wee hours of the morning, I decided to look at the Monster High community on Livejournal and one of the recent post in the community was from a member sharing how she customizes her dolls.  She used to customize Pullips and used this technique and when she switched to MH dolls she just decided to use the same technique and it worked.  I honestly can’t wait to try it out.

Chelle!!! What have you been up to?!?

Hey guys!  I know, blogging has still been sparse as of late, but I am still taking care of my health.  Goodness I can’t remember how much I have updated you guys here since I haven’t been focusing on blogging as of late.  I believe I told you that I have an underactive thyroid right?  Well since starting the pills, knock on wood, I’m already feeling a tiny bit better.  I was feeling exhausted and ready to go to bed ALL day long. Now I don’t feel that so much.  Yesterday I got on my exercise bike to try doing one mile, but when I looked up after reading for a while I saw I was almost at 5 miles so I did 5 miles and called it day.  Going to shoot for a mile to five miles each day and see how I feel.  Since going off the Prilosec I THINK I am noticing more stomach upset.  I THINK.  I’m not really sure if there is actually a difference.  But besides a little panic here and there I’m doing fine with it.  The windedness is easing up some.  I still think it is greatly attached to my stomach issues, but probably also my thyroid issue as well.  Hoping that will clear up soon too.  The only down side is trying to remember to take all my pills and when to take them.

My Milk Toof

Hey guys!  I know, long time now chat. I’m still around, been working on some stuff and trying to take care of my health.  A lot has been going on with me health-wise and it’s just been a long and lonely road of trying to get back.  I finally went to the doctor but wasn’t given much info about anything.  I’m taking Prilosec and fiber supplements and as long as I don’t drink too much water I’m ok.  Must find an alternative to water.  He also wanted to put me on Zoloft, but I have decided against taking them due to the fact they can cause you to have seizures.  For those of you who have read my blog you understand why I don’t want to go that route.  I have the pills just in case I “do” need them, but as of now I don’t.  What I need is for my stomach to stop hurting and then I wouldn’t panic so much, but doctors hear you have seldom panic attacks and they latch on to that and prescribe you something for it.  Don’t need it, so won’t be taking it.  I’ll keep you updated on how my health is going, but so far so good.  It’s been a couple of rough days, but today I cut back on the water from 64 oz to 40 oz and I feel a lot better.  I could sit up and watch a 2 and a half hour movie and I haven’t don’t that really since December last year.  So yay for getting better!  But enough about me.  Smile

What I came to post about today is My Milk Toof.  If you haven’t heard about it, it’s this cute webcomic by a creative gal named Inhae Renee Lee who made cute clay teeth that she photographs their daily adventures.  It’s so cute.  She recently got a book deal for her toothy pictures and has made a promotion video for the book.  I wanted to share it with you all because it’s a behind the scenes look of how she creates her characters and sets up the scenes.  I thought you fellow doll/diorama peeps would find this interesting.  She went as far as to carve bits of her doors and furniture for her art.  Smile  Now that’s cool.  LOL! Here’s the video.

Cute right?  Well be sure to check out My Milk Toof, I read through the whole blog in no time and you will want to go back and read the earlier stories.  She’s also holding a very cute contest until March 6th.  I was thinking of entering, but don’t know what to do.  Still have time to enter so maybe I will work on it tomorrow. Basically you make your own My Milk Toof character and she along with two other judges will pick the three they like best and give those winners free signed copies of her book.  That would be an awesome win!

Well I am off again people.  I will try to pop back in more regularly when I can.  I’m still reading your blogs, just not commenting much.  Be good until next we meet.  Bye until then.  Winking smile

Flat-ironing doll hair.

So I’ve heard of flat-ironing doll hair before but I’d never attempted it.  But when I look at my poor Blythe doll I’m so tempted to try it now.  I went in search of tutorials on how to do it and I’ve found several.  I saw where one girl used a heat protectant on her doll’s hair, but since it’s not real hair I just think it would leave the doll hair to oily.  So I am going with the next tutorial I found by a gal named stephenswodadancer on Youtube.  She uses just plain water instead of any styling product while hot-ironing the hair and I like that idea a lot better.

Click on the picture above to be taken to her awesome tutorial on how to straighten doll hair.  This is being added to my doll projects for this year.

Ann Marie Before Pic

Here is Ann Marie in a picture from some time last year.  As you can see her ends are just ruined.  I am hoping flat-ironing will smooth it out again.  It the hair burns it’s ok because I plan on rooting a new scalp for her some day if it doesn’t work.  But I love this color hair and want to try to save it.  So here goes nothing.  I will be sure to update you when I attempt it.  Oh and the little one is Christmas Noel who has been so neglected as of late.  I’m still on the hunt for some elastic to string her.  I think it needs to be 3mm elastic but I have no idea where to find any.  Her current elastic just as to much spring to it.  I’d like a tighter hold, so until then she is in hiding.  Also she doesn’t have a wig that fits her still.  I need to see about selling the wigs I do have and use that money to get her a good one.  I have a size 4 and a size 5.  The 4 was suppose to be 4.5 but it was actually a 4, the store mislabeled which ticked me off.  But decided to keep it because I thought I’d get a doll that has a size 4 head and I love the wig.  So then I tried a size 5 thinking the one I thought was 4.5 was to small and yep it’s to big now.  And the person who made it sew it wrong. I might try undoing the sewing and making it work for her.  Not sure.  That wig I’m not so happy with how it was made.  Meh, but this got off track.  So yeah, flat-ironing doll hair, a newest project added to the mix.  Smile  Talk to you guys later.

I hate snarky doll people!!!

{source}

*Steps delicately onto her soapbox.*  So I know it makes all kinds of people to make the world go round, but I have seriously had my fill of snarky doll people.  It’s one thing to be snarky, but to be snarky over a hunk of plastic that can break if you sneeze wrong at it, are not necessarily better quality than the next doll, or it isn’t even your own doll, it just freaking blows my mind!  So let me explain about this little rant.

I was on Youtube and watched a doll video on there from someone I subbed to.  Now this person happens to be a young girl between 12-14 and she is a doll collector and she seems to be well off because her parents buy her a ton of Pullip dolls and whatnot.  She knows a lot of about Pullip dolls and takes care of her dolls.  Well in the side videos on the page her video was playing I saw a video with a playset I own so I decided to look at it.  It was a silly video of a young girl playing with Pullip dolls and someone, I’m assuming her mom, was filming her play with them.  You wouldn’t believe how many people attacked this video calling it dumb and being angry at the parents for letting her play with Pullips like they are Barbies.  Now I don’t care how expensive a doll is, 1) she was a young girl who might read the comments and be really hurt by then, and 2) it’s a freaking doll and it was her doll.  So why is it any of their business how she plays with them.  If she breaks it its not taking any money out of their pocket.  It doesn’t bring down the value of their doll.  So why should they give a rat’s behind about it?  It won’t make the company stop producing the dolls.  If anything it will make them produce more dolls because they will need to replace some broken dolls out there.

I don’t know why I am so angry about this.  I guess it’s just we are a freaking community here and we all are in it for the same thing, the dolls and to share our love of dolls.  Why attack each other.  I mean they even debated on if the family could afford the dolls and basically said they are not well off so why let her play with expensive dolls?  It just angers me so much. I know, we are not all equal in the doll community and it reflects community in general, but damn it ticks me off.  Just hate judgmental people.  If people want to buy dolls and let them live on a shelf collecting dust well then that’s on them.  There is no reason to attack people who choose to enjoy their dolls.  Ugh!  Ok, I’m fine.  I just needed to rant.  *Delicately steps off her soapbox.*

Thanks for reading my hot-headedness guys.  Smile  I’m back to happy posts as usual next time.  Smile  Bye for now.

Big dolls wanna have fun too.

So when we think of photostories we tend to think along the lines of 1/6th or smaller or similar scale.  Larger scales are seldom thought of, in my personal observations, when it comes to really involved photostories.  In photostories with larger dolls they tend to be in the “real world” because building sets for them to “play” seems to be costly and time consuming.  I found out today this is so not the case.

50% off of select girls toys on Amazon.com.

Hey all, as the title says, there is a 50% off sale on Amazon.com today.  I’m not sure how long it will be for.  I just got the email literally like a minute ago.  So I just wanted to pop on and tell you guys.  It’s like two pages of stuff but the stuff is a lot of dolls.  A lot of the Liv dolls are half off.  Of course not the one I want.  They have all the outdoors Liv dolls on sale except for Hayden.  So either her sale inventory got bought out or she wasn’t put on sale.  *sigh*  Which is ok.  I keep missing sales anyway so it won’t bother me to pay full price.  I might get in on this deal for one doll and maybe a book or something.  I don’t know yet.  But I hope someone out there who reads this can take advantage of the deal.  They have those new Moxie dolls on sale and that is very interesting to me.  I’m curious about them but not enough to pay full price.  But half price is another think all together.  LOL!  Ok, talk to you all later.  I’m gonna catch up on some Shaytards then hit the hay for a few hours.  I spent all night working on the 10 dresses I sewed up like two months ago.  I finally embellished all but one of them since I liked it as is.  I think they all turned out nice and will be going up for sale soon.  I think I will open the shop with a sale for the holidays since I am so late in getting things done.  We’ll see.  Ok, talk to you all soon, bye for now.

I will return to you soon.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I am focusing on finishing my Nano right now.  This month threw me off so bad with Nano, it’s almost over, and I haven’t even hit 30000 words yet!  Ack!  But I believe I can knock this out by today or tomorrow actually.  So I will be busy until the end of the month then it’s back to dolls and blogging and interacting with you all.  I know I could just give up on Nano, it’s not like we win anything, but I would be so disappointed in myself.  So I am determined to do this.  So yeah, I shall return to you in a couple of days.  Be good until then.  Smile

Dollhouse building with Darlybird.

Ok, so as some of you know, I’m desperately waiting for the day to come where I will be called mommy.  And during that wait I like to read mommy blogs and read their stories about how they raise their children…I consider it studying and note-taking while I am waiting.  Anyway, through one of these blogs I found my way to another mommy blog called Darlybird, where the lass/mommy who writes the blog decided last year to make a dollhouse for her little girls.  She first showed off the doll house which I really liked the look of.  She did pretty good considering she’s not a collector and she made a lot of stuff by hand by getting creative.  She then got some questions about how she made her dollhouse and decide to post how she came to make her house.  In one of her posts it kind of made me giggle how she came across “something called Re-ment” and she fell in love.  Remember when we all had that fall in love moment with Re-ment?   I know I do.  Smile  But yeah, she found them on Ebay and went to town with it.  She also did some shopping in thrift stores, dollar stores, and craft stores and created some very interesting pieces and interesting rooms.  I wanted to share her posts with you all, so feel free the click the links below to learn how she made the house in the picture above.

The Doll House
Preamble: The Dollhouse
Dollhouse Demystified--Part 1
Dollhouse Demystified --- Part 2
Dollhouse Demystified Part 3: RE-MENT
Dollhouse Demystified--- Part 4: Ideology and Clothing

In the first post about the dollhouse the mommy blogger mentioned that you could also make a “dollhouse” for your son too, and it got me to thinking.  How would you make a “dollhouse” for your son?  I was thinking you could make a military headquarters for them to play in, or a really neat car garage to play in.  But then again, I wouldn’t be against making an actual dollhouse for them, just with less pinks and focusing on more blues.  Maybe making a Ken doll or G.I. Joe a bachelor pad.  I think it would be fun and inventive to try to turn this around for a boy.  Smile

So the mommy of Darlybird mentions in her last post about the dollhouse that she didn’t want her daughters to play with Barbie, but when she was pregnant with her second daughter she came across the highly controversial Pregnant Midge doll all that changed.  She thought it would be fitting for her daughter to have the doll since she was pregnant and it would be a nice teaching aid showing her little one how her new sibling would come into the world, in Barbie terms of course.  Winking smile  She didn’t want her girls to play with Barbie because she worried about image issues and the lack of clothing Barbie tends to be “not” wearing.  So her and her hubby came up with an idea, to buy all their Barbie clothing from Etsy.  I think this is a great idea.  It helps to support the handmade movement, you will get better quality items, and you get more conservative and nicer looking items for your dolls.  I think if I have girls I will go this way too while also making them clothes for their dolls too.

So yeah, just wanted to share Darlybird’s dollhouse with you.  I think she did a great job and was very crafty and creative with it.  She wishes she could make another one this year because it was so fun.  I was thinking instead of making a new one maybe she could have modeled it.  Freshen things up or change things around or add to it.  I mean, I don’t see a closet in the house, and we all know Barbie has a wardrobe that would make Mariah Carey’s wardrobe look like…well mine.  LOL!  She could go all out purchasing new clothing for her daughter’s dolls and making a fancy walk-in closet for them.  She could also consider adding a garage to the house.  And the top of the house looks naked.  I bet it would look nice with a rooftop garden or patio.  So much potential there.  I really hope I have a girl or two who's into dolls.  But heck, even if she’s into G.I. Joe we are SO making a dollhouse together.  LOL!  Ok, talk to you all soon.  Bye for now.  Smile

The awesomeness of tilt-shift.

So I’m sure you have all seen those cool pictures out there of places and people that look like dolls or miniatures but they are actual places and pictures that have just been manipulated to look so.  That manipulation is call tilt-shift.

So basically what happens is that the manipulation, or miniature faking, used with cameras and photo imaging software causes a blur to real life images, I’m assuming like if you were using a macro lens, and it makes the item you are taking a picture of look slight distorted and more like a miniature than a real like thing.  If you google tilt-shift you will get a lot of images people have taken and done such a thing to.  One of the first places I got introduced to tilt-shift is through Uniqlo’s online calendar.  If you have not checked that out, you have to, it’s so awesome.  I first heard of Uniqlo due to the cool screensaver with Asian women dancing…it’s not as bad as it sounds, you can find that through the site too.

But back to tilt-shift, I found this interesting since I love miniature scale and love how the picture make things look mini replicas or dollhouses even.  Now if you don’t have the interest of trying this yourself with your own camera or don’t have to know-how to do it, there are programs online that will do it for you.

TiltShift Maker will take any picture, doesn’t have to be your own, and it with some pushes of some tabs you can make your own tilt-shift picture.  The pictures above are ones of an actual house I took from Google and manipulated with the TiltShift Maker tabs.  Try it out and see what you can come up with.  There can be people in the picture, it can be landmarks, or inside of buildings.  The only thing is the pictures tend to look better when you have a good distance between the camera and the focal point.

Now this last one I had a little bit of fun with.  It’s of an actual dollhouse.  When I first saw the picture I had a second where I wondered if it was a real house or dollhouse.  When I saw it was a dollhouse I wondered if there was a way I could make it look distinctly like a dollhouse and not allow for second guessing.  I think I may have succeeded, not sure how the dollhouse creator would feel about that though.  LOL!

So yeah, I just wanted to share my new fascination as of late.  I know I am behind on a lot of things online, as usual, but I’ve been busy crafting and writing.  I am way behind on my Nano count and I wanted to be done by Thanksgiving.  I only have a few days left.  And it seems on Thanksgiving that is when my sister and I will finally get to see the new Harry Potter movie.  I’ve been trying to avoid spoilers, no not about the plot but of things added to the movie or how they did certain things, but I find it to be so hard to avoid.  Damn you popular franchise.  Can’t wait to see it.  Smile

Ok, I’m off people.  I have tons of writing to do, oh and I’m trying to get back into college and I need to get some forms signed for that as well.  Ugh!  Time is running out for everything!!!  *takes deep breath*  Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.  Just have a lot on my plate, and I’m not hungry but have to force myself to eat, if you get what I mean.  If I owe you a response to an email or comment, I’m super sorry and please know I will be getting back to you soon.  Next year my new year’s resolution is to become more organized and stay on top of things.  We’ll see how well that goes. Winking smile  Ok, talk to you lovelies later.  Smile

Bored!

It’s the middle of an extra long night.  It should be almost 4:30 in the morning but we fell back so it’s almost 3:30 in the morning instead.  *sigh*  Well I decided to do a quick blog I’ve been meaning to do for a week now, before jumping into some writing.

So my mom sent me a forward email with pictures our childhood heroes, but with a twist.  The pictures are of our heroes either as a how they aged or as a what are they up to now kind of picture.  Let’s start with the aged pictures shall we?  Smile

Working on something.

Sorry I haven’t been around peeps.  I’ve been working on something behind the scenes again and I want to reveal it very soon so I am busy with it.  I’ll be updating about it within the next few posts, promise.  Until then I’ll leave you with something fun.

Love this band.  This song I could listen to all day…and umm I actually have.  Yep, I’m weird.  Smile  Later kids.

I have no words.

I just sat down to respond to comments and saw that on my Livejournal cross-post blog alone I hadn’t responded to comments since July.  O_O  July people!!!  I’m so terrible!!!  I’m so sorry for those of you who left comments for me unanswered.  I’m getting ready to respond to them now.  I know most people don’t stress over comments but I do because you took the time to comment and I love that you did that and I want to take the time to read and respond.  Oh goodness, this is going to take some time and I’m on my way out the door to drop my sister off at work.  But that will take about 20-30 minutes and then I’m on it.  So if you get emails notifying you to comment responses that’s just me finally getting back to you.  ;-)

Joanne Fluke, quick author review.

So a couple of years ago I discovered a book I found interesting called “Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder”.  It was a reprinting of it I believe.  Well upon skimming I thought this book would be the kind I find interesting so I bought it.  It was a murder mystery starting Hannah Swensen.  I soon found other books in the series and began to buy them, although I hadn’t read them yet.  I just knew I would like to read them.  Fast forward a few years and I finally break out the first book I bought and began to read it.  It was a pretty good book until I got to a certain point that put me off.

At a party scene in the book the main character talked about a full figured woman like she was a circus freak.  Heck, now that I think about it, she described her clothing to look like a circus tent.  This really put me off.  Being a fuller gal I took offense to the author writing about the fuller woman this way.  She passes off her main character to be mostly a sweet person, but I wouldn’t want to surround myself with such a person and this just off-putting to me.  I really like the novel and want to keep getting the rest of them, but not if full women are going to be continued to be insulted and used as jokes in each one.  I thought well maybe this just a one off.  Not so.

At the end of the book, after you finish the main story, there is a novella that the author wrote about a runaway girl.  I decided to read it today and finish the book to move on to the next one in the series I own.  Well I just read another rude comment the main character’s sister made about a full size woman how she shouldn’t wear certain clothing.  So this makes me wonder, is she going to pick on full size women in all her novels?  Does she have a hatred for full size women?  Does she not realize the US alone is over half overweight and that means most of the women, who is her target market, buying her book are either overweight or obese?  Heck, even she is plump herself, so what gives with the rude comments about fuller women?  I could have handled a one off in the first novel, but then in the novella in the same book that was not related to the first story having another “fat joke”, it just rubs me the wrong way.

I was planning to buy some of the books I don’t own yet in the series, but if in the next novel I read she insults full figured women again I don’t think I will.  Honestly, to me, it’s almost as bad as making a racial joke.  It’s insulting and hurtful.  Maybe you feel I am over thinking this, and heck maybe I am.  But it’s kind of like this, you’d think I was mad to hang around a person who constantly makes fat jokes that I get insulted by, so why wouldn’t you think the same about reading an author who makes fat jokes or rude fat comments.  It does nothing to add to the story, it just does more to add to the prejudice against full figured people.  I know that this is just her character’s personality and how she things and was raised, but I don’t know if I can invest time and money into “someone who dislikes me so much based on what size I am”.  Am I making sense with that?  I hope so.  I guess she is just going by what she’s heard all her life growing up, the character not the author, but it just still irks me.  I just really really hope it won’t show up in every novel.  I’m seriously prepared to take money out of my wallet and place it into hers, so I really hope Joanne doesn’t continue to disappoint.  *heavy sigh*  Oh well, I’ve got to get dressed now.  Going to the mall in a few with my sister and mom.  I’ll post more later.  Bye for now.

Armadillo Shoes: Doll Scale

Ok, so I may be risking being ridiculed by the next comment I am going to make, but one of the latest fashion trends I could never understand and truthfully think are so ugly are Alexanander McQueen’s ‘Armadillo’ shoes. May he rest in peace, and I mean no harm, but these shoes were just the freakiest invention ever. Take a look.

Ok, not that you’ve seen, what do you think? To me these things just look ugly. Along the line of Christian Louboutin's Ballerina Heels.

I don’t like the much better, but they at least look like heels should look, minus the killer heel part. I think both these shoes are pointless IMHO, but I guess they both server some kind of fashion purpose. If you know what, feel free to tell me. :-)

So it took me a while to figure out why the shoes were called Armadillo shoes. It wasn’t until I looked at a picture of an Armadillo that I caught on. Have a look.

So, do you see it? Not yet? Humm, well try this instead.

See it now? The body is the bulk of the shoe and the tail is the heel. I mean I must admit that it’s genius that he saw this shoe in an animal, but I still think the shoe is ugly and pointless.

Well while searching for a doll series I wanted to do a doll post on, I found these shoes and that other post went bye-bye for now. LOL! It seems that someone in the doll world, Angelic Dreamz to be precise, has taken this phenomenon and translated it into doll scale for their JAMIEshow line.

I don’t know how someone can see this being a fashionable shoe, but these are just my thoughts. If you like them then you like them. I just don’t see them as attractive. Not even in my fave scale.

Now the doll line looks interesting. 16 inch bjd from what I understand. The dolls will be able to fit the shoes as well as I believe Tonner’s American Girls and Sybarite dolls. Now I thought American Girl dolls were taller and bigger in all aspects than 16inch dolls. So I am wondering how they fit these shoes.

They also have black Armadillo shoes coming out in October, but as of yet no picture for them.

Oddly enough they have a lot of recent style shoes that they made into doll scale. A lot of them seem to be bases off of shoes that Lady Gaga would wear and were in her Bad Romance music video.

Sigh, is this a sign that I am getting old? Funny, I didn’t think at 32 I’d be old, but these fashions just confuse me on how they could be “cool” or “hip”. Now not all the shoes on the JAMIEshow line turn me off. I like a lot of them, NOT the Gladiator shoes. I HATE Gladiator shoes! Meh, maybe I’m not old, maybe I just have my own opinion about fashion and what I think is “cool” and “hip”.

So tell me, what are your thoughts on Armadillo shoes? Like them? Love them? Loathe them? Would you get them for your Vinyl Vixens? Me personally? I don’t know. I wouldn’t wear them personally, but who knows if one of my dolls’ personalities would want a pair and wear them all the time. Ok, that has to be so weird. I hate the shoes, but if I thought my doll would wear them I’d buy them without a second thought. Am I nuts or do my doll pals out there understand this concept? I’m so hoping you understand or I need to seek help. LOL!

Ok, I just wanted to post about this. I am off now. I want to work on some stuff on my to-do list that I will be posting here soon. It’s a pretty long list actually and I want to add to it. I guess I’ve been putting off a lot of stuff. I’m sure I’m not alone in doing that, but it sure feels that way. LOL! Ok, talk to you all later. Bye for now.

Loves ya,
Mouse
