Black Friday Ad Scans

This post is for my USA readers.  But for those of you outside the USA who are curious, the day after Thanksgiving in the USA we have one of the biggest shopping days during the year, Black Friday.  If you are hoping to get a good deal Black Friday is the day to attempt to get it.  A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving some websites will share scans of Black Friday ads.  You can simply just Google Black Friday and find tons of websites dedicated to the day.  Granted it does further force the commercialism of the holiday, but hey a deals a deal, and if you are in the market for doll items or craft items you are in luck this year.  Tons of sales, some starting on Thanksgiving, are centered around toys and crafts.  So be sure to get your newspaper on Thanksgiving morning because some of these good sales need a coupon from the news paper.  Humm, I wonder how much the newspaper companies lose out on because you know everyone will have a coupon on Black Friday but not all of them will have paid for the newspaper it came from.  Hummm.

Pan the Faun. Oh yeah, and Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits. :-)

So in my attempt to continue to procrastinate instead of finishing this task with my email…yes I am still working on my freaking email people, I found the cutest doll I want to call mine.  I never will ,mind you, but a girl can dream.  Meet Pan the Faun.

Only 15 will be made worldwide and there at 12 left.  I doubt for long since he’s actually a decent price for a limited edition tiny doll.  At 4 inches tall and can fit Kelly and Tommy clothing and accessories this little guy is a complete package.  he comes with a free face-up, magnets in his horns, and random 12 mm eyes…he can fit 8mm-12mm eyes.  He’s got a special skin tone done just for him as well.  And if all that didn’t sell you just look at his sweet face.  So cute.  Yes, I am currently making grabby hands at the screen.  Ok, maybe not really, but I am doing deep dreamy sighs.  Oh well, at least I can enjoy him in pictures.  Can’t wait to see owner pictures of him one day.  I doubt anyone has him yet because he just recently released and it takes 40 days to make him, but heck, no harm in searching Flickr right? 

And I still need to take some pictures of my sister’s Bei.  Sorry no box opening of her.  My sister refused to do one.  LOL!  She just wanted to tear in and enjoy.  And yes I got to tinker so I could change her eyes, fit her wigs on her, and try some clothing on her.  I’ve already noticed some issues with her that I have to keep in mind when I start to make clothing for her.  She’s a very pretty doll.  Oh and to correct myself, she is not a Bobobie.  Not sure if anyone made a comment about this, yep still need to catch up on those too.  LOL!  But she is a ResinSoul doll.  Junky Spot just has them all lumped together under Bobobie.  She has her maker tag on the back of her head, a kind of rust color rubbery tag with an RS on it.  She’s super cute and has big feet compared to other 27cm dolls.  I know she’s in more proportion than the dolls we find on the shelves, but wow.  BIGGGG FEETTTT.  You will either need to buy shoes for her or make shoes for her.  I’m all for the making.  And since I will be getting a girl of my own some day, hopefully soon, I plan to use my sister’s as a model since she is kind of just laying on a shelf now not getting any attention.  I’m just doing her a favor and letting her girl get out some.    But I will have pictures of Bei soon.  I want to make some clothes for her before I take any.  Wait until you see her, she’s a cutie.

Script Frenzy?

Ok, so umm you guys remember how I do Nanowrimo?  Well there is a similar think like Nano called Script Frenzy that happens in April.  I attempted to do Script Frenzy the first year it started but just couldn’t motivate myself to do so, and every year after I wasn’t interested.  Then this year I got the email about it and thought maybe I should try it, but then decided against it again.  It kept popping up here and there but I still ignored it.  But then today my sister got a new Obitsu body, she’s get back into dolls again yay!, and she was helping me figure out if I wanted a flesh tone and white tone 25 cm Obitsu body for my Puffy Ami Yumi dolls.  I’m thinking flesh, but not sure, any advice on that would be greatly appreciated.  Anyway, I was thinking about the new story I wanted to do with dolls, but I couldn’t before I finished the one I started.  I want to try to “film” everything in one month and try to get it up on the website as well in a month.  But I need a script and I needed it to be written up fairly fast.  But I know myself and know I won’t dedicate myself to days and days of writing a script without “purpose”.  I know, getting it done for my story should be purpose enough, but it’s not.  So then it hit me about Script Frenzy and I’ve decided to give it another go.

 

Hiatus.

Yep, it’s that time again folks.  I did good for 15 days, but I really need a hiatus from blogging for a bit, which honestly makes me so sad.  I wanted to try blogging every day this year but I really can’t.  It’s hard to come up with new things doll related to blog about when you aren’t creating anything yourself to share with the world.  And I really can’t get creative right now, not that I have the drive to do it right now either.  I really need to focus on my health right now.  I need to figure out how to get to a doctor and try to get my life back.  I can’t move forward with any of my plans because I’m sick in bed most of the day and it worries me and everyone around me.  I’m barely eating, and I don’t really care, but I guess the body kind of needs food to live.  I feel really bad just taking off like this, but I can’t be a better blogger or member of the community until I feel good internally.  I’ll be back guys, I promise.  I’ve still got big plans for this year to share with you all.  But in order to do them I need to be able to get out of bed for longer than a few minutes without feeling horrid.  So wish me luck on that and I will be back soon.  Hugs to you all.  Be good until I get back ok.    Bye for now.

Funny or Die Presents sorta not really review.

So I just got done watching FOD and I didn’t pay attention to any of the skits but the one Smidge Girl’s furniture is in.  I will warn you now this show is bloody and not for the weak of tummy.    But I loved seeing how they worked her furniture into the skit and it was interesting to see how all the other sets were made.  I won’t say much since some of you have yet to watch it but just check out the sets and you will see some familiar stuff you would never have thought to use.    And I had a fangirl moment when I saw Smidge’s name in the credits.  That was so awesome.  Congrats Smidge on all your hard work!

Projects anyone?

So I’ve been trying to think of a way to kick start my year, and it hit me that I should try to strive to do monthly projects.  Just something to help get the creative juices flowing.  So I’ve come up with several projects I’d like to attempt.  I know they won’t all be done this month, but I have them ready to go for future months.  Here are some of the projects I want to work on.

 

Alice in Wonderland Liv dolls and Liv doll boy.

So I’m sure a lot of you know this by now, but this year the Liv dolls will be coming out with an Alice in Wonderland line and a Liv doll boy.  All are slowly coming out in stores, I’ve heard Target is the place to start looking.  Well I recently found a video on Youtube by a young girl who talks about the dolls and shows pictures of them.  The video drags on a bit but the pictures are worth the watch.  Have a look.

Ok, so what do you think of the new dolls coming out?  I personally want them all, but when I stop and think about it, it’s for their clothing and not really the dolls themselves, except for the boy.  I like the boy.  I wish the hair would have been a wig as well.  But that’s still possible if you remove the hair and then just take the peg out of wigs you make for them and maybe just use some hook and  loop tape to keep them on.  So what’s your view on them?

I dare you not to cry.

Ok guys, so I was on Facebook today and one of the peopled I am friended to on FB posted this video with the caption asking why it made her cry.  I had to know so I watched it and I am still sniffling.  Quick backstory, it’s this little boy’s birthday and he’s opening his gifts with his family filming it.  This is one of the first good birthdays he’s had in years since he’s mostly been in the hospital.  So his parents decided they were going to give him a great birthday to be remembered.  His reaction to their gift is priceless and if you don’t cry you need to take a hairdryer to that lump of ice in your chest stat.  Ok, enjoy the video.

The things you find on Craigslist. *A doll post!*

So I know I haven’t posted much on the hobby as of late.  I just have been dealing with my own personal stuff and would rather post on my own doll stuff than stuff that’s already been posted about several times.  But today my friend Sarah send me a link to something on Craigslist that I just had to share.

So Sarah was looking around at the different ads on CL and suddenly came back with a “OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!”.  I was curious what was up.  She called me in order to hear my response to the ad.  So I clicked on it.  There were two small blurry pictures of dolls.

Ok, nothing out of the ordinary really.  Somebody selling a big lot of Barbie dolls.  So what, right?  Well then I looked at the asking price.  2000 dollars!!!  I kid you not.  Take a look at the ad here.  I’m showing you that one because the number is messed up by two numbers and I really don’t want people calling “Dan” and asking him what he’s smoking.  LOL!  So me and my friend had a good laugh over this until she hit me with another “Omggggggggg!!!”  She sent me another link.  It was an older ad for the dolls that wanted 2500 dollars!!!  LOL!  Ummm, ok.  Yeah once again we had a good laugh…until she hit me with ANOTHER “Omgggggggggg!!!”  LOL!  Seeing a trend here?  Well it was a link to another older ad for the dolls.  This one was one of three that were posted all asking for the same asking price of 3000 dollars!!!  For a set of 55 used dolls.  Wow.

Now don’t get me wrong.  I can understand if the person is trying to raise money for surgery or something as equally important and they are trying to do it through the dolls.  The dolls look like they are in good shape.  They are all dressed, some of them in the exact same outfits which I find kind of weird.  Most of them have shoes on which is seldom seen in used doll lots.  And while their hair needs brushing it still looks in good shape.  So it’s not like they are selling crap.  But do they really think they will get that much for all those dolls?  Honestly I’d be surprised if they got 100 dollars for the lot.  They are used dolls.  If anything they be bought for their clothes and experimenting by the doll community.  I am very curious about the high price for the dolls.  I also wonder what dolls those are.  And do you notice how a big bulk of them are red-headish brunettes?  Which is funny because for the last few years it’s been mostly blondes on the shelves.  Where did they get those dolls?  They don’t really look like Barbies even, so I am seriously wondering.  So what do you guys think?  Think it’s scam where you pay and don’t get the dolls?  Think these pictures are from an Ebay sale somewhere that they stole the pictures from?  Or think they are legit peeps just looking to make some money to help better their lives or make their kids Christmas happy…which I doubt or they wouldn’t be getting rid of their poor kids’ Barbie dolls!  LOL!

Windows XP error 0x24 or Stop 0x24 message.

Hey all, this is just a quick post I’ve been meaning to type up.  A while back my other laptop, that still needs it’s casing fixed. , had an error message when I tried to log into windows.  It was a Stop 0x24 message.  Now, while I consider myself somewhat techie, I had a problem fixing this.  My computer wouldn’t log on, it wouldn’t accept my backup disk, and I couldn’t get in there to run a Check Disk.  So I thought I had to get a professional to fix it.  But I was worried about someone seeing things on my computer that I wouldn’t be there to explain.  Example being me with my hair a mess or a ton of doll pictures, some of them nude…those were for comparison pictures people and you’ve seen them all here.  LOL!  But not only was that a problem, the thought of losing all my files was a problem too.  I had a lot of stuff that couldn’t be replaced.  That wasn’t sitting so well with me.  So I tried searching for another option.  It was through my sister I found one.

Her friend introduced her to the free operating system Ubuntu.  She let me borrow her disk and I suddenly had access to my files.  Woo hoo!  Ubuntu save my files!  Now wait a minute!  Get back here!  Don’t go running off to get the dang thing just yet.  There’s a process I went through in order to do this and if you do it another way you may lose you files either way.

Ok, so here goes.  First, you need another computer to do this.  Most of us have at least two computers in our pad or a really good friend who can help us out, so get thee to that computer.  Second. you are going to need something to put Ubuntu on.  My sister burned it onto a disk.  I’m not sure if it would work on a flash drive, but you can try it out.  Ok, once you have that, pop it into your affected computer.  It’ll load up Ubuntu and give you the option to use it from the source or to install it.  DON’T INSTALL IT!!!  If you plan on keeping your files then just use Ubuntu from the disk.  If not then go ahead and install.

Once Ubuntu fully loads, Now it’s been a while since I used it, but the tabs at the top of the desktop are what you are going to use.  The work similar to Windows with drop down menus.  You are looking for something that says “local disk”.  I believe it’s under the first tab.  When you click on that you can gain access to your documents.  From this point you can put in a flash drive and save your files.  I also had files on my desktop I wanted, so I had to go and search for my desktop to find it and get my files.  I can’t remember what that was listed under but it’s under the same link.

Once you get all your files off your computer and safely stored away, you are going to want to restart your computer.  I’m not sure if it will work by simply restarting it from the menu or if you will have to turn it off and turn it back on, but you want to get back to that screen that offers to install Ubuntu.  When you get back there you want to click to install it now.  This will take a bit, but once it is install it will have completely wiped out Windows XP from your system.  This is what you want.  Now you can decide to keep Ubuntu if you want.  It’s not a bad system, but you have to log onto the internet with an Ethernet cable and a lot of things won’t work on it and you will have to find Ubuntu alternatives for it.  So I decided to go back to good old Windows XP.

So if you want Windows XP back, you are going to want to put your recovery disk or Windows XP disk into the computer reinstall it.  Now here’s the kicker.  Once it’s all installed, you will have to go find all your drivers because Ubuntu took all those suckers out.  Now it may be a little tricky to find them due to the fact that Microsoft stopped having support for Windows XP, but you can start here to find the drivers. I was lucky and did this before they stopped the support.  But the drives are out there.  I’m on a Vista computer right now or I’d try it out to see how it works.  If anyone tries it, let me know how easy or hard it was to find.

After you get your drivers back, all that’s left to do is put all your files back on your computer and reinstall your programs and it’s business as usual.    It shouldn’t take more than a few hours to do all this.  Now I know there are many ways to fix this problem, but this was the one I found worked easiest for me, and I thought I’d just share it with whoever may be in need of this.  I don’t know if this error is with other versions of Windows, but I assume that this method would work much the same way.  So good luck and I hope I could help you with your computer problem.

I want to be crafty.

But instead I am focusing on some paper work I need to get done.  It’s ok, this weekend will be for crafting.  But it would be nice to craft to get my mind off things.  Without getting into to much detail the person who I spoke about in a previous post seems to want to start a war with my friends and it’s just ridiculous and it’s bothering me.  I have already said twice to the person I wish them well and to take care, and still it’s an ongoing thing.  I swear only the crazy crafty/doll people online are the sane ones.    I’m just going to try to forget the whole thing and them and move on.  It’s stupid and I’m tired of constantly having to check on things to make sure my friends are behaving.  Meh.  People are weird.  I should have listened to what everyone was telling me about them and looked at all the red flags, but a little to late I suppose.    I just want to focus on getting back into the craft and doll community now and leave all that mess in the past.  So that is my goal for the rest of the year.  That and trying to finish my MUCH neglected Nano.  Oh and to merge my blogs into one and a half…half being my cross-post blog.  I need to go check on comments again and just get caught up.  That’s what weekends were invented for I suppose. 

Went to my local Big Lots today and they changed it BIG time.  It looks SO much nicer.  My mom and I noticed how it looked like a “real” store instead of an excess dump for businesses.  I also found a doll there I want but wanted to think about it.  Here’s hoping it’s still there tomorrow.

Oh, so my quest for turkeys turned out to be a bust. No ribbon and only too large pattern fabric.    My sister said she’d draw me a turkey and I can try using my printable fabric for the first time.  Sweet!  We’ll see how that turns out.  I can still cross stitch one on if it comes to it.  What else?  OHHHH, my sister showed me the Hello Kitty shop in town and I was in heaven.  They also sell other Asian stuff, but the Hello Kitty stuff was TOO cute.  They will be getting Asian music next year which I am looking forward to.  You know I must seem like I only love Asian music.  LOL!  I assure you I don’t.  I like other stuff too.  I will post some new stuff to show my other interests as well.

Hummm, what else?  Oh yes, the lovely model up there is my cat Holly.  My sister took a picture of her with her new cell phone and I just had to post her for smiles.    Did I get any?   I’m hoping I got tons.  Ok, so new posts coming soon.  I have several things to share.  Until then I’m off to work on a slowly dying Nano and some paperwork.  I don’t know if I will win Nano this year, and right now I’m ok with it.  But I’m not throwing in the towel just yet.    Bye for now.

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween guys and ghouls!  I know I’m a little early, but we had our trick-or-treat today due to making the church folks happy.  Do you know they don’t have Halloween parties in school anymore?  They call them Fall/Autumn festival.  The kids can dress up, they crave pumpkins, there’s candy, but it’s not Halloween.  Umm, wha???  Oh well, whatever makes them happy I suppose.

Here is my layout for Halloween.  I figured put it up now to be festive.  I haven’t worked on the one for Thanksgiving yet.    I’ve been either busy sewing, gaming, or being sick.  Meh.  So now I have to work on that tomorrow.  Tonight I am going to work on my novel outline that I didn’t finish either.  The Sims have kept most of my attention.  It’s addictive, what can I say?  LOL!  But yeah that’s what has been keeping me busy as of late.  I hope I can finish the Thanksgiving layout before tomorrow night.  Fingers crossed.

I had a fun night tonight.  I had my friends over to celebrate, even though it didn’t go according to plan.  We missed out on some thing but we are so having a do-over.  I got to see my friend Robin’s kids all together for the first time.  It was so much fun seeing her oldest that I knew back when I was a teenager and telling her how me and her mom were back in the day.  She was picking on her baby sister likes to rip her clothes off whenever Robin dresses her, and I surprised her letting her know she was a little stripper herself back in the day.  LOL!  It was fun.  Did some karaoke, had WAYYYY to much sugar, and now I am crashing hard, but I wanted to make a quick post to say hi to everyone and wish you all a happy and safe Halloween.  And save some candy for me!    Ok peeps, I’m off.  I’m tired, I need to set a tape for a movie I wanted to watch tonight, and then maybe crash the rest of the night.   I’ll be playing catch up later on blogs, comments, and email.  Yep let it slip some again, but I will be catching up on those tomorrow.  Bye for now peeps and peepettes.

Guys!!!

Why is it I make plans to do so many things and I never see them through?!?  Ok, so I still need to catch up on so many things that I said I was going to do the other day and something always happens to keep me from doing it.  I need to make a to do list for tomorrow and knock every item off the list no matter what.  Humm, yep, making the list in this post right now.

1. Respond to emails.  Yes, I know I still have yet to do this but tomorrow it is getting done.  Ugh!!!  I’m such a bitch to not have done this sooner!!!  But if you all can’t tell I’m feeling so much better as of late and I’m ready to get cracking on things I put on the back burner.

2. Respond to comments.  Every single last one of them!!!  Hopefully once I am caught up I will NEVER get behind again.

3. Pentagon stuff.  More of a personal thing for me to list that I won’t get into here.  But it’s some family stuff I help out with that needs to get done tomorrow.  Well it doesn’t “need” to get done but I am getting it done.

4. Go with my sister to Babbages.  She wants a game there and gets lost in the mall easily.  We don’t go there much.  So I will take her so she doesn’t get lost.

5. Go to Barnes and Nobel and see about using my gift card there on something.  I was thinking a doll magazine but I think I changed my mind to get a young adult book.  Not sure which one yet.  I haven’t read young adult in forever and I want to write for young adults so I need to do some “research”.

6. Work on logo for shop.  I have made several but I hate them.  I need to work on something cute.  I am going to borrow my sister’s tablet and see if I can come up with something.  I’m not an artist by any means but I think I could come up with something cute.  I at least want to come up with an idea tomorrow.  Fingers crossed I can do it.

7. Merge blogs.  I finally decided to do it for good.  It’s getting hard having several blogs when I all I want to do is focus on this one and the one I cross-post on.  Eventually I will get a domain and just have both blogs redirect to it so I just want to get things focused.  I never should have done the multi-blog thing in the first place, but I was in my foggy-headed mind and just thought I was making things easier on myself and my readers.  Nope.  I just made more work for myself and would ignore this blog while blogging on other blogs.  So I am merging them all, hopefully seamlessly.  Toes crossed that I can do it.  ;-)

8. Come up with November 1st layout design.  At least get an idea about it.  I have the Halloween one ready which I am sure will change some up to the day I post it.  But I don’t have one for after Halloween.  I’ll think of something, just need to decide if I want it seasonal or more permanent.  I think will do seasonal until New Years and then pick a more permanent one…that is until it’s Valentine’s day.  Maybe I will have a permanent one and then switch it out for holidays and then switch back when I am done.  Ok, talking out loud here now.  Blah.

Humm, I think that is it.  Those will all take several hours to do…so I need to go to bed soon so I can get up early.  But umm, I’m wired from chocolate I ate today.  I can eat M&Ms and while I didn’t down a whole bag the little bit I did down has me wiredddd!!!  Ahhhhh!!!  I barely ate today so I am wiredddd!!!  I need to force some cereal down my throat so I will something of substance in me.  But I’m not hungry.  It’s weird, since going gluten-free I’m not hungry any more.  I don’t mind it, but I have to remember to eat.  And while my stomach still has a dull ache it’s feeling amazing!!!  Ok, I’m too hyper, going to go eat and relax.  I may try to hit my list tonight, but don’t hold me to it for tonight.  If I do then woo hoo I’m full of coolness, and if not, well there’s always tomorrow. ;-)

But I can’t leave you with nothing, so I leave you with one of my favorite songs from the play/movie “Rent”.  “The Tango Maureen” made me decide that when I lose some more weight I want to take up tango.  I hope with the boyfriend.  He seems into it.  Fingers crossed.  I doubt he’ll like seeing me dance with anyone else, so hehe.  :-)  I’ll be dancing with the cutest guy in the room.  ;-)  Oh warning, this song drops the f-bomb a few times.  Yeah I realized the other day I put up some videos that did that.  While I don’t mind it because my mind literally glazes over when swear words are dropped because they just don’t bother me, I know it may bother my readers.  So I will give fair warning when I remember if something has some strong language.  So consider yourself warned.  F-bombs ahead!  BOOM!  Enjoy and talk to you guys tomorrow.

Shopping online just got more awesome.

So I know this post will be going up next week, but I had to create the post now.  It’s 4 A.M. Saturday morning and I wanted to watch the Christmas Shoppe on QVC, I love watching home shopping networks around the holidays.  The segments just seem jollier and I love seeing all the things you never knew you needed.  :-)

But being so late/earlier in the morning I didn’t feel like sitting in front of the tv to watch it.  To my surprised I learned that you can watch QVC from your computer.  Now, I thought that was cool enough until I looked at the window that the player was in.  On the side of the player the item that is currently being talked about is listed and if you want it there is a “Add To Cart Button” right there on the page.  I think that is just so awesome.  It’s so convenient.  Now I have never shopped from QVC or HSN, but with this ease of use and purchase I could easily see myself doing so one day.  You will need to check it out one day.  Just go to the QVC website and click on the “Watch Live TV” button and there you go.  They also have a tv schedule if you want to see what’s on, what is on next, and will be coming on later on in the day or later on in the week.  Pretty cool.

HSN also has a live show you can see from their website with the same concept.  It does not come out in a pop up like QVC, but it also has the current item that is being talked about listed, and if you like what you see you just click on the “Shop Now” button.  The one thing I don’t like about the HSN site is that their live show needs to buffer a lot, so you are missing a lot.  So HSN may be more fun to watch on tv instead.  Edit: Actually I am watching it again now and it’s not buffering like crazy.  I think it did the buffering because I had both QVC and HSN streaming at the same time.  So just stream one network at a time.  :-)  Check it out.

And just for fun, here’s my favorite item of the hour.  I was thisclose to purchasing it, but decided against it because I have other plans to make a fleece blanket with an old flannel sheet on the underside.  I will need the moolah for nice thick fleece instead.   Oh well.  Maybe I can make one of those Santa cuddle blankets next year.  :-)

Meh, not so interesting.

Ok so my sister and I tried Vindictus and didn’t like it.  It was mostly go see someone, go onto boat with party, kill in a dungeon, go back to person, go onto boat with party, kill in dungeon, go back to person, etc., etc.  So not all that fun. 

I haven’t received my codes yet.  I’m wondering if I will since it’s emailed to AO-Hell.  If I still get the codes I will just post it here and let the first person who sees it have it.  I still promised one to a friend but if he decides not to play then I will post both codes here.

I really thought the game would be more interesting but it’s not all that.  My sister and I were talking and decided to go back to Mabinogi for a while.  We’ll see how we like it again.  We loved the beta.  I forget why we quit.  I am thinking grinding, but there is so much to do on the game I think I’ll stick with it for a while.  If you are interested in Mabinogi you should check it out.  It has a lot more things to do than Vidictus.  It has changed since my sister and I were there and we are excited to see how it changed.  I am downloading the game now since she downloaded Vindictus.  An hour wait.  Guess I’ll go work on another doll blouse.  Oh I need to show you the picture of my first attempt.  If I am fully honest with myself it doesn’t look THAT bad, but I see the flaws and I want it to look better.  So I guess I will work on that after I post about my work from yesterday.

Does anyone play mmorpgs?

Ok first off, for those who don’t know, mmorpgs are massively multiplayer online role-playing games.  This is your World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Perfect World, Ragnarok, etc.  My sister first introduced me to these games years ago with Ragnarok.  I like playing these games but after a couple of days of non-stop play for HOURS I start to feel and realize I could put these hours of gaming to better use and so I quit playing as much and then quit all together.  But I still always like to try new ones that come into beta to see if this one will keep my attention longer.

The problem I find with mmorpgs is that after a while all you are doing is grinding to get your level up if the game is not quest based.  I currently like playing perfect world but as my rank gets higher I get closer to the level where I will just grind and have to help lower levels with their quests in order to up my level.  I hate that.  If you are going to have a game with high levels at least have quests to do to up those levels.  But oh well, it is what it is.  I haven’t played Perfect World in a while and I think I am ready to abandon it again.  I just might if this game my sister told me about seems better.  It’s the prequel to a game we already played and liked.

The game is called Vindictus Online, it’s based on the Mabinogi mmorpg, which I really liked playing.  Mabinogi is kind of like the cuter version of Vindictus, so I’ve heard.  Vindictus happens before the “time” of Mabinogi.  I’m interested in seeing how it is.  I’ve heard it’s a lot different from Mabinogi.  I’d like to see what they kept and what they got rid of.  My sister and I had a lot of fun on Mabinogi so I’m sure we will have fun with Vindictus.  I’ve heard Vindictus is the American name of the game and that Mabinogi Heros is what it is called elsewhere.

Well, now to the point of my post, when a person with a beta code uses their code they get two additional codes.  I could easily put them up on a gaming board or on YouTube or heck even Facebook, but I wanted to give my blog readers the first option to have them.  I haven’t gotten them yet, but my sister has a code, I believe because of where she works, and she’s giving me one of her additional codes.  I, in turn, will end up with two codes, only one code now since I have given one to a gaming friend.  So, if you are interested in playing Vindictus and want to get into the beta leave me a comment on this post.  I WILL check them.  I know I have been a major slacker and I’m going to catch up on all comments today, but this post in general I will make sure to check.  If no one has posted they want the codes code in 24 hours, meaning 4 pm eastern time on Sunday, then I will just post them it on a related Youtube video for the game and let someone there have them it.  So act quickly if you want them it.

He’s gonna shock us!!!

C-c-c-c-changesssss…

Hey guys, long time no post, like seriously.  Sorry about that.  I’ve been focusing on some things IRL and on other blogs I am starting up, deets on those blogs coming soon.  But I’ve also been noticing how the sun’s position has changed and have been getting all excited on the fact that my favorite season EVER is coming back to me!!!  Yeah!!!  Autumn, or Fall however you say it, is quickly on the way back.  I mean, like our low tonight is suppose to get to 58 degrees!!!  Are you hearing me?!?  58 degrees!!!  After weeks of 100 or more degrees I’ll finally get to feel some coolness.  And yes, I will be going out in the middle of the night to experience this lushness.  Hey, if Mother Nature is gonna throw you a bone you had better be out there to catch it.  ;-)

So in the spirit of this wonderful seasonal change I have decided to update my poorly outdated blog.  It’s missing links, it doesn’t even have my new shop name on it, some of the items in the sidebar are temporarily down and some items I am thinking of getting rid of.  Not sure just yet, but I’m thinking about it.  Also I have several drafts that need to be finalized and posted.  And then I am working on some other blogs to kind of tie into this one.  Ahhhh!!!  Why do I do this to myself?!?  Oh yeah, because I work better under pressure.  :-D

But yeah, working on a new blog layout that.  Finished the graphics now I just need to upload them and work on my widgets and all should be good.  So if you notice in the next couple of days that the blog is going through a total meltdown, it’s just me playing Blog Goddess and molding to my personal preferences.  *insert menacing evil-doer trying to take over the world laugh here*  After that then I should be hopefully back on track.  Just been dealing with the same thing I usually deal with, anxiety, so it keeps me from the fun things in life.  But I’m forcing myself to not focus on that and try to finally do all the things I wanted to do.  It’s my goal for the rest of the year.  Thank goodness I only have to dedicate myself to 4 months of that, then I can regroup in January.

Speaking of January, isn’t it weird how if we blink January will be here?  This year has truly gone so fast and it’s so upsetting that Autumn is only 3 months long and then a bleak Winter.   It seems like we had more hot months than cool months, which is probably true, so not fair.  But yeah, so if I want to fully enjoy this wonderful season coming up I need to put a fire under my butt.  Which reminds me, I need to get back to cleaning my craft space.  Well it’s mostly done, just need to pick up some stuff from my room, which yes I have a picture of and yes I will show you later on this weekend.  Ok, I’m off, Lawrence Welk comes on in 7 minutes.
