I'd totally read that!

So while I'm not much for non-fiction books, sometimes there are books about people that I really want to read. Their careers are just so big and I just find myself attracted to them for one reason or another. One of these people are going to have a book out in October. Humm just in time for my 10/10/10 deadline. Perhaps that should be my gift to myself for making it? We'll see. The person who has a book coming out is Dame Judi Dench.



I first got exposed to Judi Dench on PBS watching the britcom "As Time Goes By". This show showed me I liked British humor. But it also showed me that I loved the acting of Judi Dench. Oh sure it also gave me a new crush in Alistair, but that's a different post all together. ;-)

But yeah, the book is going to cover her career and her 30-year marriage to her husband who tragically passed away after losing his batter with lung cancer. It was one of the reasons she ended "As Time Goes By". I'm sure this book will be a very interesting read and I can't wait to read it. :-) I'll be looking forward to reading "And Furthermore" in the Autumn. :-) Just had to post about it because I got all excited about it when I read about it. :-) Bye for now kids.

R.I.P. Corey Haim

Sadly another person from my childhood memories has passed away. I had the BIGGEST crush on Corey Haim when I was a young girl. Would love seeing him in my teen magazines from back in the day. I prefered BOP magazine. :-) Anyway, while I was fixing something to eat this afternoon I saw him on my mom's tv downstairs. Squinting to read the fine print I went into shock to learn he had passed away.



One half of the Coreys are now gone. So sad. I hope that if it was drug overdose that it was prescription and he was just trying to deal with the flu. I would hate to think he had his drug habit back and lost out to it. It's kind of weird to think back to my childhood and think that I used to feel the kids around my age that were famous had it all and their lives were perfect. It's not until now when you see them slowly slipping away that you realize that while they may have more money than I do they really aren't all that much better off. :-( I hope wherever Corey is that his is resting peacefully and he finds happiness there where he couldn't here on earth.

That's all I wanted to say tonight. I have many more posts to post about but I will hopefully get them posted tomorrow. I have some "thanks yous" to say and have some stuff I found that I wanted to talk about. But that will all have to wait. I'm not sure if I should do it all on one day or just schedule them to show up one a day. I'll decide that all later. Bye for now.

Guys, get this!

In honor of Barbie's birthday in the 9th, all the stores this week and this week only are offering the new Superstar Barbie for 3 bucks! Ok, so this may be old news, but I just saw about it today. I am going to go out this week and I hope to nab one. I wanted one for her clothes mostly, so getting one at 3 bucks would be nice. Just thought I'd pass on the new to you in case anyone hadn't heard and wants one too. You can get them anywhere from what I see. Good luck finding one and let me know if you got one. :-)

Bjds in Visine ads.

Ok, so when I read that there a combo of two of my loves...dolls and ads, I had to check it out. Seems the company that made Visine bought several bjds to put in there ads for their product. I graduated with an associates in marketing and this caught my interest. The pictures are so cool and the dolls are even cooler. I wonder what they did with the dolls when they were done? Another People of Walmart doll sighting.

So since being sick all month practically, I haven't been keeping up with People of Walmart, but the other day I was just skimming through it and found this gem.



Not only does she have the lolita thing going on but she has a bjd. How cool is that? I think she looks adorable. Of course there was a mean caption below her picture because non-doll people just don't get it, but it's still cool to see the picture. I don't think I'd have the same guts to try this, so more power to her. :-) I just had to show you guys that. I still have more posts to make today but it's 4:11 a.m. so I am heading to bed. Blog question.

Hey guys, so I have a question for you. Before I ask, those of you on LiveJournal who want to see what I am talking about click on over to my Blogger blog The House of Mouse. You see that green bar a little ways up on the screen that has links in it? (i.e.- home, post rss, comments rss) Well, I can make those into working links. I think I have uses for three of the sections, but then I have 6 extra sections. I have an idea what to use them for, but not 100% sure. So I was wonder if you guys could give me ideas of what to put up there? Now keep in mind that I want these links to be for your benefit as well as mine. So what links would you like to see up there? I'll take any suggests, but with one request, the links must be doll or craft related.

Now my idea of what links to put up there are: Personal Links...links of like my DeviantArt and whatnot, Doll Blogs, Craft Blogs, Doll Forums, and Craft Forums. But I still have a lot left over. I might leave one for photostories if I choose to post my stories here instead of on my website. Not sure on that yet. But give me some suggestions, I'm at a loss right now. Thankies in advance.

Original Alice in Wonderland

So while I was hoping around the interwebs this evening I found myself on Perez Hilton by accident...hate that site. But in going there I saw he had posted the original Alice in Wonderland movie. It's a restored version of the original. I thought you all would get a kick out of seeing it. Enjoy. I'm off to finally respond back to comments I've missed while being sick. Finally feeling better. The Toy Box Forums

So as some of you may remember, a while back I created a doll and toy forum. I have no abandoned it, just been thinking about revamping it to get it more attention. Also trying to decide still what exactly will be allowed there, and just several other things. Been visiting other forums to get an idea about what I like and don't like about them and just taking note of it. I will be returning to work on it this weekend. Not sure if I will be changing it's url or not to reflect the possible new name change. Currently working with someone on it. If you are interested in throwing some names in the hat for us to consider, feel free to leave a comment with the name. We want something that mashes dolls, rejects, and Lolita...preferably Gothic. No that's not the theme of the forum, just trying to come up with a catchy name. Toy Box was just to common. Chime in! :-)

Kirsten Dunst is turning Japanese!

Ok, so while blog hopping today, I found this cute video of Kirsten Dunst dressed up as Akihabara Majokko Princess singing "Turning Japanese". I don't know why but I love this video. It gave me a giggle to see Kirsten like this and well the video just is cute altogether. Oh warning, this video is not "dirty" but some images in it are not safe for work or around kids...remember it's anime related...make your own assumptions on that before watching.



After reading around about this video, it seems that it gets deleted from YouTube very frequently. So if this video does not work for you just do a search for Akihabara Majokko Princess and you will find it on other websites easily. It is worth the search just to see Kirsten dance and sing. This video has every cliche that anime has, I love it. LOL! So enjoy and I will post again very soon with more interesting tidbits I've found lately. Bye for now.

Still here people!!!

Just sick. Sick, sick, sick, sick, sick. I'm a bit pissy about it. I just got over the last sickness I had and here I am again going through hell. It has made me grouchy and weepy so I am just popping in here and there when I have the energy and just letting everything else go to the wayside for now. But I will be back soon. Just need a few days to give over the bulk of this mess. I know I will be sick for another month, not kidding, but after a week or so the worst SHOULD be over. Ok, talk to you all later.
