Happy New Year everyone!

Photobucket

Happy New Year to all of you. If you are going out tonight please be safe. Whatever you are doing, please do have a lovely time.

Photobucket

As we go into a new year and a new decade I am thinking back on the last ten years and am shock over the wild ride my life has taken. I met the man of my dreams, I gained friends and lost friends, I discovered new things about myself, I got a degree, I gained two and a half pets, I lost one pet, I gained new hobbies, I stopped doing old hobbies, and that's just skimming the top of all that has happened to me in the past ten years.

Now I think on what the next year and hopefully ten years will hold for me. Where will I be once the next decade comes to a close? So much can and has happened in ten years, so its anyone's guess where we will all be in 10 years. I mean, we can't forget about 2012...not that I'm really worried about that. I'll wait until December 2012 to worry about it. Right now I'll worry about getting back no track with blogging and other stuff I have planned for next year.

Well I am off guys and gals. Thank you to all of you who have joined me this year and followed my blog. I hope to be very entertaining next year for all of you and I hope to learn more about all of you through your blogs. But that can wait until tomorrow. Until now let's just enjoy the last few minutes of 2009. I'll see all you lovelies next year. ;-) Bye for now.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Photobucket

So, no sooner I finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I was hot on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. And let me just say this game was even better than the first one. For one thing it had me laughing with the dialogue alone. The conversations between the characters were witty and smart and just plain funny at times. I love good banter and this game delivered it in just the right amount.

We start off our game at present time with Nate in a bad position. It confused me at first as to what the heck was going on. But knowing how Uncharted delivered, I knew all would eventually be revealed and to, for now, roll with the punches. So I did my thing and got Nate out of the sticky situation, and right when you think things are getting better they start to change to bad and seem to be going to get real bad real quick when all of a sudden it is decided we need some back story. *phew* Ok, just as long as you get me out of there.

So we find Nate relaxing in a tropical paradise when he is approached by an old "pal" who has an "in" on some special loot. This "friend" had a lady friend that will be joining in on the fun that Nate eventually agrees to join in on. And thus begins another adventure for Nate.

Now, on the get go, I am wondering what happened to the characters from the last game, and was so happy to see they were not left behind. I don't trust the people he hooked up with in the beginning of the game and its nice to know he has proper back up.

As like with the last game, the scenery is beautiful and so detailed. I'm a gal who loves when detail is paid attention to and I can respect the work that went into making this game look as good as it does.

Along with great scenery, the great gameplay is back, multiplied, I'm happy to say. More shooting, more stealth, more weapons, more, more, more. Love it! And this was just on normal level. I once again have to go back through and collect treasures, which I plan to do on very easy and then go through again on the next hard level up from normal. I hear that one's is a royal butt kicker. :-)

One of my favorite parts of the game? The end. :-) I love the final dialogue of the game after the world has been saved and everyone is back in a village safe and sound. Like I said, I love good banter and I think the end of the game had THE best banter in the game.

So, on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being worse and 5 being best, I give Uncharted 2: Among Thieves a 5. Same as the last one, great gameplay, even better than the first one. Great scenery, I'd say on the same level as the last one just different places. And there is mos def replay ability. Loves it. I highly recommend it to you lovely readers if you haven't or if you already have played it. If you can play it on hi-def, mos def so do. I can't, but its beautiful on the tv I do use, so I can only imagine how beautiful it is on hd. I heard through the grapevine that it looks beautiful on hd, and the source is trustworthy. ;-) So until next time gamer geeks and geekas.

PS-
Nate I so know you were a 10 and not a 5. Stop playin. ;-)

Merry Christmas!

Photobucket

I want to wish all of you a very Happy Holidays and for those of you who observe it, a very Merry Christmas! I hope you are all warm and safe tonight and will have a lovely tomorrow! :-)

I've been scarce lately, working on stuff for the shop in the new year. I've decided finally on a theme for my shop. Dolls. Everything I make will either be for dolls or have a doll theme. Very excited to get started on all this. Only thing is, I may have to change my shop's name. I'll think about it over the next few days. I'm hoping to have my shop open again by New Years day.

Well that is all for now kiddies. If you have left a comment, I will get back to you over the next few days. Enjoy your holiday everyone and please be safe. Hugs to you all! :-)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Photobucket

So I have wanted to play Uncharted since I heard about it. It was like Tomb Raider but with a man. Funny thing is I didn't play Uncharted until years after it came out. In fact the second one had already come out by the time I played it. LOL! But I didn't get any spoilers for it so it was all good.

So like I said, when I first went into Uncharted I thought of it like a Tomb Raider but with a male. I soon found out I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, its got some Tomb Raider-ish characteristics. Its got her famous shimmy and the wall walk, but that's about where the similarities end for me. Sure they were both after treasure, but with Drake the story and plot was more engaging for me. Tomb Raider stories tend to be a bit boring to me for some reason. But I wanted to find out more about Drake and I felt like I was literally along for the ride with Nate.

I have never been a fan of stealth, but Nate has changed my mind on that. I am starting to love the element of surprise that stealth has to offer, at least in this game. Not sure how it will be in other games but I am willing to find out now.

Ok, so the two things I LOVE about this game is the fact that when Nate is almost dead, you find a good hiding place and wait it out and he's ready to go. None of this finding health to give him energy. I wish more games were like that. Another thing I love about the game is that fact that if you get stuck it will eventually offer you a hint of what you should do next without laying it all out for you step by step. It still makes you have to work to get the goal you need to go to move on. And of course along the way you have to try to stay alive against baddies that don't want you to get to the end of the game.

Now I used to consider myself a sweet and meek gal, but once I got into surprise attacks, grenades, sniper shooting, etc., well that was just to yummy to pass down. I found myself hooting and hollering when I would take out a group of guys by throwing a unsuspected grenade into their camp, or better yet, taking them out one by one with my ninja like action. *insert ancient gong here*

The theme of Uncharted is to learn about, well, Drake's fortune and the outcome of what happened to Drake. I won't ruin the end for those who haven't played yet. All I will say is the story is very interesting and it doesn't bore you and the outcome is logical and doesn't make you roll your eyes and make you think you wasted all this time playing for a stupid outcome.

I love all the characters in Uncharted, especially the good ones, and the ending made me feel fulfilled and like it was a job well done. This game, I feel, has replay ability due to the fact that along the way you need to collect treasures. I hadn't done that the first time through, so I need to do it again. Also, there are different levels of game play. I started on normal, but next time I go through I may go up a level. Or play on very easy to go through quick to get the treasures then go up a level for more trophies...which I hear is a kick in the ass and I can't wait to try it. :-)

On a scale of 1-5, with 1 being worse and and 5 being best, I give Uncharted: Drake's Fortune a 5. The gameplay is amazing fun, the scenery is amazing also. Forgot to mention that. I wish I had an hd tv to play this on. The scenery in this game is worth the play alone. This has to be one of the prettiest games I have played in a long time. Even with all the rough game play, the scenery is still just gorgeous. The thing that also makes this game gain a 5 from me is the ability to replay and the game not get boring. So if you couldn't already guess, I highly recommend this game to those who haven't played it yet and even those who have and should replay it. ;-) Until next time fellow gamer geeks and geekas.

R.I.P. Brittany Murphy

Photobucket

Now words could properly tell you how shocked I am to learn of the passing of Brittany Murphy. I just loved her acting and its so sad and hard to think she's no longer with us.

Photobucket

I guess another reason I am in shock is because she's not much older than I am. I remember watching Clueless for my 16th birthday and she was my favorite character.

Photobucket

I followed her career some and loved all the work she did in her movies. I had no idea her career had stalled. I am thinking this was either a heart problem she didn't talk about or didn't know about or sadly it was drugs. Its weird her husband doesn't want an autopsy done. Either because he knows it was drugs or can't deal with the fact that she'd be cut into and whatnot.

Photobucket

Another star does dim tonight. So sad. Ok, back to more cheerier stuff next time. I promise. Bye for now.

Style Savvy

Ok, so I have always had a fascination with fashion. Even though I am a forever fashion victim, I love reading about and learning about fashion. When I was younger I wanted to be a fashion designer. I still want to do that, but more for my other hobby that deals with dolls. So when I saw a commerical on tv for Style Savvy, I was hooked.

I found this commerical just too funny. But it made me want to know more about the game. So I hit the Tube of the You and learned that it was a fashion game that had the player playing a stylist and sometimes a fashion designer. I had to have it.

My first thoughts of the game were that I didn't think I would like it. I looked very anime-ish to me. It took me really getting into the game for me to start to see its fun potential. The clothing, so far, is ok. You get started off working with Grace in her shop until you can prove that you have what it takes to run your own shop. Its then that you meet the cute shop owner who agrees to open a shop for you. So you now run your own shop with clothes you buy from the exhibit center. You also compete in fashion shows to show of your styling skills and you win special clothing items from that. The international challenge changes every month, but you can go back to all of the fashion shows and play them as long as you don't lose. If you lose then you have to wait until the next day, your time not game time, to play again. However if you save before you go compete, then if you lose, just turn the game off without saving and go play it again.

Throughout the game you gain the opportunity to expand your shop's stockroom, gain more music and store decor, and several other perks that add to game play. You beat the game by winning all the fashion shows, but even after that there is continued game play. You can sell stuff online, buy offline from other shops, get special downloads from online, change your shop, and continue to compete in fashion shows. Also as the seasons change, the clothing you can buy changes. There are also side events that allow for photo ops, so be sure to change clothes when you start you game. You can also get your hair done at the beauty salon and also buy make up and have your eyebrows done at the beautician.

So this game has a lot of game play to it and I really don't see it just being for little girls. I have see many grown woman playing it as well as fashion savvy men. So if fashion is your love, you will want to give Style Savvy a try.

The only downside I see to the game, is while it has replay ability after winning, it gets very repetative quick and could become boring. I'm at the point where I only log on and play to get my special clothing item for the day. Then I stop. So I say take your time with the competitions so the game still seems fun.

On a score of 1-5, with one being worse and 5 being best, I give it a 4. Its a fun game and has a replay ability. The reason it didn't get a 5 is because it can and does become repetitive quick and can become boring. That's my only real beef with the game. So enjoy Style Savvy and if you have played it let me know what you thought of it. :-)

Disney did it again!

Photobucket

The Princess and The Frog is now one of my favortie Disney movies. The movie is so sweet and funny. There was a sad part at the end that kind of turned happy making it bittersweet. I am so glad Disney did this 2d movie. It reminded me of my childhood and watching other Disney movies, and well I like 2d better than 3d. It seems more detail goes into 2d and I will forever heart Disney for making this movie. You must get out there and see this movie...or umm if you are low in funds you can do it another way. Just sayin. But this movie cheered up my day some and now I am off to bed to get a few hours of sleep and get things back on track later on today. Just had to pop on and say I love this movie and I am so getting a doll from this movie. I will be hitting Toys R Us this week, I hope they still have some. I must have one. Ok, night guys. Bye for now.

*Flings self on bed and exhales.*

Photobucket

Ladies and gents today has been one of those days you wished you would have stayed in bed. Ok, so today I had a cleaning appointment. That didn't worry me as much as going with my mom...alone. My mom stresses out alot and when she stresses out I get stressed because I worry about how spastic she's going to get. Well that upsets my stomach and makes the breathing hard and the anxiety shoots through the roof. Well, by the time we were at the dentist, the acid was so badly I just wanted to sit down for a long while and relax. Actually I just wanted to go home, but my appointment was 30 minutes away, so I pressed onward. I got called to the back and by the time I had the last person...3rd person...pulling their fingers out of my mouth, I didn't have a cleaning, and I was told I had the beginnings of periodontal disease. Do you know what sound was going on in my head when I heard that? This: *cricket cricket cricket*. Seriously, I was so in shock I didn't know what to think or say. Then they tell me I have 12 cavities they want to fill with plastic filling, and then I need a tooth reconstruction and two crowns put on my two root canals. Oh and one tooth up front needs to be pulled because it is "extra". Ok, after hearing all this I was so deflated and exhausted. Seriously, I looked at my teeth in the car and I am like I don't see anything wrong. I brush, I floss, I rinse, what the heck is going on?

Photobucket

Well the periodontal disease seems to be a family issue. My grandmother lost all her teeth by 30 and my mom's jawbone is diminishing away and she had horrible gum problems as a kid. My sister has gingivitis and she has good oral hygiene too. I mean she got braces and when they were taken off she only had two cavities, very good by most standards. So its just confusing. The cavities I am so confused on too. I am guessing they are very tiny ones. The doctor kept saying "A pock on 4. Dent on 5." Stuff like that. So I guess its just a tiny bit of decay they want to clean out before it gets serious. My mom thinks it may be all the anti-acids I have been eating. Something is affecting my teeth. I mean granted I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in about 5 years due to need the money for root canals and wisdom teeth removal, but when I did have that cleaning it had been since I was 8 that I had a cleaning and I didn't have a single thing wrong except my wisdom teeth which I knew about. So I am wondering what it is that is messing up my teeth. Its been suggested that the tiny grooves in my teeth where the tooth brush can't reach are why I have so many tiny cavities. Ahhhhhhh!!!

So yeah, that is how I started my day and how most of my afternoon went. So now next year I have a ton of dental work I need to do and its going to be so expensive. I hope I can get better healthwise so I can get a good job so I can either get a better insurance or at least pay for some of this work. I am so thankful to my parents for helping me. I used to say I hate my smile, but I will be so happy if I can get rid of the periodontal disease and can keep it. I read that adding more to daily oral hygiene and getting a deep cleaning could be all you need to get rid of it. I have two appointments set up for my cleaning. One for each side of the mouth one week away. I know that's going to hurt and bad. So I am not really looking forward to next year, but it has to be done. :-( Oh well.

Photobucket

Well after the stress with my mom and the stress with the dentist, then I had to truck it around town some and I was in pain from all the acid. We didn't go to too many places and then went home where I finally got to eat and relax for a bit...until my boyfriend called me. On Tuesday my boyfriend called me before work all chipper and he had just stopped at Subway and gotten some food to eat at work. We had a quick call and then I didn't hear from him until later. He was still ok, and then when I was signing off I said good bye and I'd call him. Well he called me and I thought it was just to say good night to me because he was working late. Not so. I called him back and he was home sounding tired. I was confused and I asked him if he was asleep. He said no. I asked why he was home. He said I obviously hadn't gotten his message. Come to find out he got sick. REALLY SICK. I was so worried. I hate that I had to go to sleep, and he needed sleep too, so we had a quick call and said good night. Today I called him to make sure he was ok before I stepped out the door and he was still sick but felt better. We said our good byes and I went on with the rest of my day. So this brings us back to where I left off. For those who don't know, he's a ct tech at a hospital and he called one of his friends to come give him an iv at his home. His friend came over to give him one and he was so dehydrated he couldn't get the needle in the vein. They tried three times before he decided to take a break to go to the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom his blood pressure dropped and he lost his sight. He forced himself to the floor so he wouldn't pass out and hit his head, thank goodness, and his friend asked if he wanted the ambulance called. My boyfriend was so afraid he was dying he said yes, but then they decided to get him to his bed and try the iv there. They put it in his arm this time and it worked. Seems that his body went into shock and that's why he blacked out. When he told me this I was so scared and shaking. There were tears in my eyes, but I held back on crying so I wouldn't upset him more. Last I checked on him he was on his second iv bag. I need to try calling him in a bit. His mom should be home now so I am a little calmer now knowing he isn't alone. Its so scary to think of him alone and being so sick. I hope he's 100% better tomorrow. I wish I was there to watch over him and take care of him. I'm still worried and scared for him.

Photobucket

So that brings me to now. Exhausted, nervous for my boyfriend, and just wanting to crawl into bed and call it a day. The only perk to come out of today was buying Haute Doll and the coveted recycled bag from Books-a-Million. I want to go out and do some shopping for me and for Christmas still. It seems we have a family outing planned for Saturday when my dad is home. So I guess we will see. So as it stands now, I'm tired, exhausted, nervous, and calling it a day. I hope to have a more cheerful post tomorrow and hopefully something doll related. It seems my shop will be reopening sooner than I thought and on Etsy I believe. I need to start making some money while I can't work. I'll explain more later. Night all. See you tomorrow.

Hey guys!

So I just sat down on the floor in my living room after decorating my tree to update the old blog. The tree looks pretty as usual. We are running out of room for ornaments. Its so hard to place everything on its own individual branch. Pictures will be coming soon of the finished tree. My mom just joked we need a 7 foot tree because we are running out of space. I agree. LOL!

I want to try to catch the musical Christmas lights for you guys too. We'll see how successful I am at that. Hopefully I will have something to show you by the end of the week.

In today's post, however, I wanted to show you two cool things. First of all I wanted to show you this cool dress that the fabulous Twinkie Chan wore a while back. Twinkie Chan if you read this please know I borrowed the picture to show off your wonderfulness and mean no disrespect.

Photobucket

A Barbie dress! How flipping cute and cool is that? I had to show you guys this. Next up I want to show you what I won yesterday.

Photobucket

Is that not the cutest little purse? Karen of Glamour Dolls had a drawing for this sweet thing and I won it! Woo hoo!!! I can't wait to get it. Already been thinking I know what I will use it for.

Well guys, I am going to leave you on that last note. I'm tired, I have a cleaning appointment tomorrow with the dentist...so not happy about that, and then I might do some shopping tomorrow...for me. :-D Bye now.

Blast From The Past

Photobucket

So thanks to the love Smidge Girl, and her very entertaining Flashback Friday, she got me thinking about my own childhood. Now my childhood is all fuzzy in my mind for some reason. Some people can remember theirs as if it happened yesterday. Mine is a bit harder to remember. But I do remember bits a pieces from time to time, and Smidge Girl's Flashback Fridays got me thinking about my childhood games I play with my dolls. Warning, I don't promise to be as entertaining as Smidge Girl, I just wanted to share my past memories.

So when I was a child I remember owning a lot of the beach themed dolls. One of the ones I remember very well were the California Dream Barbie and Midge. Not sure who they are? Take a look at this commercial that I shockingly remember. That's an odd thing, I don't remember much about my childhood but commercials and stuff related to marketing I can remember from back then. Weird.

So like I said, I had these dolls and they usually hung out with Tropical Barbie, Miko, Ken, his friend I believe was Steve, and Skipper. Don't know who they are? Here ya go.

So since these dolls were beach dolls they needed to hang out on the beach. My beach just happened to be my bed. I would take my pillows and blankets and put them evenly around the edges of my bed. These would be the "beach houses". Barbie and Midge would be in one house. Tropical Barbie, Miko, and Skipper would be in another...sometimes they didn't like California Dream Barbie and Midge because Barbie stole Barbie's name. LOL! The guys would be in a beach house on the far end of the beach/bed so they wouldn't be to close to the girls, and then the last one would be for couples.

The dolls were all on vacation and they would show up with luggage full of clothes for their vacation. The floor was the water and the beach was secluded. In order to get to shops and clubs they had to get on a ship, which happened to be an old basket my mom had. They would all load up and travel across the way to the other beach which was either my dress or the floor in front of it. If it was the floor in front of my dresser, my dresser turned out to be a rock climbing mountain that the guys would climb while the girls shopped or sat around sipping drinks. LOL! Then it was back to the beach where everyone sat around the beach drinking some more and hanging out. Oddly enough Skipper got to go into the clubs too, but she only drank soda of course. LOL! Then the vacation was over and everyone returned home...or they wouldn't and I would just pick up where I left off the next day. My play sessions would go on for hours. Ok I have to ask, how long would you play Barbies at any given time? I could start from sun up and go to sun down with bathroom breaks and eating in between. So what about you?

Ok, so this was so weird sharing this story with you all, but it was fun too. I plan to share another one with you guys soon. :-) Thanks Smidge Girl for the idea and I can't wait for you next Flashback Friday. :-)

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney

Phoenix Wright

Hey guys, I am back with a review. I used to do them a lot in the past and just stopped, so I thought I'd pick them back up again. As some of you know I like to play video games in my spare time. Here lately I like playing with my DS a lot and one of the games I finally finished was Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney.

Ok, first let me say that while this game is fun, its long and seems a bit drawn out to me. The one thing I hate about the game is ALL THE READING! Seriously, you are reading for about a good hour learning about the case and collecting evidence. Then you are reading another hour for the court session. Then you may have to go collect more evidence...another hour of reading. Another court session...another hour of reading. And then you are done...with only one case! LOL! There were about five on this game. The last one is like a freaking whole new game in itself.

I did love, however, collecting evidence. Some of the stuff you had to do was pretty cool. And the end credits were among some of the coolest I've seen on a game. But after playing that I wanted to take a break from it...until my sister handed me the second in the series to play. Ummmm...what?!? I plan to finish it in a week...plan to.

The characters in this game were easy to love. From their cute names, to their silly backstories and relations to the case. And once you figure out what happened, how it was done, where it was done, and who did it, you are just amazed as the story unfolds.

So my rating for the game on a scale of one to five, one being worse and five being best, I give it 4 and half stars. It would have gotten 5 stars if not for allllll theeee freakingggggg readinggggg. LOL! It just goes so slow to get up on the screen and it just seemed to dance around the information you really want to know. And what drove me batty the worst was a gentleman in the last case that would constantly make a dramatic pause and you couldn't do anything but wait until he was done. Omg!!! That drove me batty!!! But through it all I guess I am ready to start on the second one. Be prepared to see another game review from me soon about that one. :-) But as for this game, I highly recommend it for those who like puzzle games or CSI shows. You will be very entertained. :-)

*Waves* I'm back!

Photobucket

Hey ladies and gents, I'm feeling a lot better and am back to blogging. If you have left me a comment over the past couple of weeks, thank you so much for them and I have responded to all of them. I just haven't been feeling well and just wanted to comment on other blogs and not touch my blog until I felt better. I've been collecting things I have wanted to comment on while I was not feeling my best, but my tummy is back to manageable so I will slowly start posting those posts.

So first of all, how have you all been?!? Yes, I have checked on your blogs, but I wanted to ask still. :-) I so need to comment on so many of your blogs. I will get there, I promise. That is what sucks about feeling sick, trying to catch up on people's blogs and I am still going through links to collect the blogs I want to read and ditch the ones I haven't looked at. If you are reading this, your blog is not one of the ones I am ditching so no worries. :-)

Ok, so who is ready for something crazy? I have it right here for you. Look at this box I put in our living room just a little while ago.

Humm...

Any idea what it is? And before any of you ask, no that is not dust on the table. LOL! My mom put wax on the table and it made the table get this weird whiteish look to it. She's tried cleaning it off, but it won't come of for some reason. We don't think it messed with the finish, just coated it. I will have to take a full picture of the table for you one day. Maybe later this week, its pretty cool.

Humm...

Here's a clue for you.

Humm...

Why do I feel like I just heard the gasp heard round the blogosphere? Yes ladies and gentlemen, that IS out Christmas tree STILL in the box ELEVEN days away from Christmas. I'm only saving face because some people don't put there's up until Christmas Eve and a lot of my friends haven't put theirs up yet either and don't plan to. We are going to attempt to do it tomorrow. When I get it up, I will upload pictures and try to take a video of it. Since my camera only captures 1 minutes and 30 seconds on film I will have to make it into a montage. For those that have dial-up I will upload all the pictures to Flickr for you to see.

Oh, if you have your tree up, I'd love to see your tree pictures. Let me know if you posted pictures of your tree somewhere. And if you haven't, well what are you waiting for? Take some, post them, and share. :-)

Oh, speaking of Christmas, what is everyone doing Christmas Eve? I was thinking of trying to arrange a doll chat on the forum. For those of you who don't know or haven't signed up, I have created a forum for dolls and toys. I had let it go stale while I dealt with tummy issues. But now I am trying to promote it again. You can see it here. You have to sign up to see several sections of the forums. The first 50 to sign up get special privileges. :-) I need to give some of the people who signed up theirs actually. So please go on over to The Toy Box and sign up. I would love to see you all there, and would love it if you pass on the link to your friends or blog about it on your blog to get the word out. I'd love to form a nice close knit doll family there. So please help me get the word out? I'll be your best friend. :-D

Ok, I think this post is long enough. More to come. Bye for now.

*Sigh* They canceled my favorite and only soap opera.

I can't believe they canceled "As The World Turns". Honestly, I knew it was coming to an end after Guiding Light got the cut, but it's still sad to hear about. I will get to watch it another 9 months and then I will sadly have to say good bye to it unless it gets picked up by another station...which I doubt will happen. But you never know. *sigh* So sad. Anyone else watch "As The World Turns"? Are you sad to see it go? Meh, ok, back to beads. Bye for now.

2010 Harley Ken and Barbie giftset...coveted.

Hey guys. I was looking at a doll forum today and found out about the 2010 Harley Ken and Barbie giftset. It is now coveted by moi. Why? Well first take a look at the set.

Photobucket

First of all I love how badass they look. Look at the clothes. Look at the tats. Love it. But then upon looking at it closer...Ken can bend his wrist!!! Ok, sure, action figures had this down long before Ken went to the bank, took out a loan, and bought a clue, but it still gives me the warm fuzzies. :-)

Photobucket

A non-blonde Barbie. Loves. Her tats are too cool. Looks like she has the bendy wrists too, which is good. Love her face paint. Honestly, the only thing I don't like about her is the fact that she isn't mine already. ;-)

Photobucket

A blonde Ken. Loves not so much. But his face mold looks unique, which puts him back on the loves category. Almost looks like the Edward Cullen face mold to me.

Photobucket

I think its the sourpuss look he has going on. But I do like the face mold. Has it been used on any other doll before? Anyone know? Honestly, this guy is begging for a reroot. Perhaps a red-head. :-D Love the tat on his arm. Would to own this set, but perhaps they will make another Fashionista Ken...which I still need to get one, with those wrists.

Its kind of funny. Some collectors think that Mattel doesn't listen to them or pay attention to their buying habits. I on the other hand think their marketing team is smart and paying close attention. I think the reason the Fashionista Ken didn't get bent wrists is because of this new Harley set coming out. Why spend 80 bucks on the set when you can pay 12 bucks at Toys R Us for the one blonde Ken? I think that's the only reason Fashionista Ken ended up with a regular Ken body. Oh well. Mattel has to get their money some how. Hopefully I can get the set for a good amount cheaper in a store next year. I think 80 dollars is to much to spend on a Ken and Barbie doll. Its my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. Please no hate comments about how its a decent price. Its a decent price on a Bobobi sprite, which I would rather spend that kind of money on, so yeah. :-D

Ok, so just wanted to show you guys this set. I'm going back to my beads again. Bye for now.

Forgot to mention this.

I was just thinking about this today and I was going to mention it last night. Watching Ponyo last night, I noticed the license plate on Lisa's car and laughed. The number on her plate? 333. LOL! I kid you not. I wish I knew why 333 was such a thing with me. I wonder what will happen at 3:33 or what that number means to me? Guess I will find out one day. I kind of think it will be the time that will be called when I pass away when I'm a weak and sick little old lady of 99. Or maybe the time my first child will be born. My winning lottery number perhaps? Meh, I guess I'll have to wait and see. But just wanted to share that with you. Working on my beads some more. I want to finish them so I can get that off my back. They keep calling to me to finish them. Once I finish them I can move on to something else. Oh, I've decided to take a picture of my work space. You've seen it in some of my pictures. I won't take pictures of the room or my room because they are just a mess...which reminds me, I should throw a load of laundry in the wash. I'll do that now and make some cocoa for my empty stomach. I'm fasting today because food is making me so sick. Anyway.

Oh, I wanted to mention something interesting I saw on the news the other day. Its seems the city I live in is one of the top three cities in the US that will be offering a lot of jobs next year due to the military getting bigger here over the next few years. Also my city is 31st in the US to be growing economically. I am shocked because I just thought my little city was kind of boring with nothing exciting about it, but that is actually exciting news. I plan to try to get back into the work force next year part time, and this is good news. I hope that I will feel better next year so I can take advantage of the jobs coming into town. Fingers crossed. Ok, I'm off now. Laundry and some more cocoa. Bye for now ladies and gents.

Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea

That had to be the most ridiculously cute movie I have seen in a long while. I wanted little Ponyo for myself. She's so adorable. I think I must get another Bobobie Sprite and make it into Ponyo. :-) Well I am off to try to get some sleep. Good night, good morning, and good afternoon depending on where you are.

Mary and Max.

So I'm still sick and today was a bad day. I spent most of the day in bed with my poor broken laptop next to me. The hinge needs to be fixed on it, hopefully next month. To sick to do it now. Anyway, I am catching up on some blogs and on John's blog he mentioned watching a stop animation movie called Mary and Max. It was one of the funniest and touching stories about two pen pals who were so different but so alike too. The ending was so bittersweet, I still have tears in my eyes. If you can rent this movie or watch it online I highly recommend it. Warning, its not for kids. It has adult topics in the movie along the line of where do babies come from and whatnot. I'm off to watch the other movie John mentioned call Ponyo On The Cliff. He said it was cute and I could honestly use cute after feeling so bad and still thinking about Mary and Max's ending. SO yeah, this is just a little update for now. I hope to be able to post more soon. I miss posting every day. More soon peeps, I promise. If you've left a comment, I will get back to you very soon, and thank you so much for the comments. I love getting them. :-) And I will be commenting on blogs as well too. Just want to feel better first so I don't leave rushed comments because I want to go lay back down. Oh well. Until later ladies and gents. Bye for now.

Still here.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to update you on where I've been. I've been dealing with stomach issues again. I feel so ill all the time and hate it so much. Yes, I am that old cliche...I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. But oh well. I'm working on making things better...losing weight.

But with the upset tummy I prefer to just sit still and do something in one spot. Here lately I've been working on the clay beads I bake a couple of months back. So far its ok. I just hate waiting for it to dry. That's my only issue. All the beads need several coats of paint, so it kind of sucks. I want to be working on doll stuff, but I decided to get the beads done and I will use them as free gifts for the items I sell in my shops. That should keep me in free gifts for a while.

So that is where I am at right now. I also am working on my website again that hasn't been updated since Thanksgiving...last year! LOL! So yeah, touching that up. Also working on my photostories soon too. Right now I am working on script, and I having fun with that again. Other than that not much else. Oh no that's not true, working on my blog and links and bookmarks. I am will be changing things around so I can make sure to visit blogs I love more often by having them linked in my blog.

Oh, also I got my webcam to work on my new laptop so I plan to do some vlogs in the new year. Very excited about that. :-) Humm...that's about it now. LOL! Gonna go work on beads a bit and let my tummy settle. Talk to you all soon. Hope you have a great week. :-)

Advent Calendars

Ok, so my family has German ties on my mom's side and from those ties I learned of Advent Calendars. My mom has been getting us one every year since we were young. She got one for us this year. LOL! I love the concept of the calendar and love looking at different versions of them. When I found one online I was hooked.

If you scroll down my blog some,on the right side you will see this same advent calendar. You click each day open as it comes and you get a new craft project to do. Its too cute honestly. If you want to put one on your site to open as you want, click on it and you will be taken to the website where you can copy the code and paste it on your blog.

I love the craft project for today. I won't ruin it for you. But once you click on it, you will see. I plan to try all these crafts...just not sure if it will be this month or not. The heart gives me some ideas though for Valentine ornaments for my shop. Ok, I just wanted to share this with you. Talk to you later.

Hi hi!

Hey guys, just wanted to pop on real quick and give you all a wave. *Waves manically.* Yeah, no real post today. Just kind of feeling blech. When it rains it changes the humidity here and it just makes me either tired, cranky, irritable, or lazy. Humm...unmotivated maybe? Well either way, all I got done was sitting around on my bum looking at a boring doll forum. They all tend to just talk about their special expensive dolls and well I want more interaction than that. I want chatting in live time. I want discussing ways to have what you want but for cheaper. I to discuss things like making things you want for your dolls. Just not a lot of that there. I know, its time for me to start promoting the forum. Will work on that some tomorrow. Also working on my website again. Wish I would have done that today. But I spent most of the day playing them Sims. LOL! And any Sims fan knows that when you get started its hours later when you realize that you've been playing a long time. LOL! I will try to take some pics tonight for tomorrow. Hope all of you are well. Bye for now.

Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits.

Photobucket

Happy December everyone! Wow, can you believe we are at the end of another year? Couple of more days and we will be saying hi and bye to Santa then mourning the death of 2009 and celebrating the birth of 2010. Crazy huh? Well I plan to be productive this December. I don't know if I will be doing a lot with my shop this month since I am debating on just putting up a few things on Etsy instead of having an Artfire or keeping Artfire for certain things and Etsy for doll related stuff. Don't know yet. Until I fully decide, I won't stress about it. What I want to stress over is clearing up my bookmarks and getting to back into the doll community that I pulled myself out of a while back. I still plan to talk about other things in my blog like writing, weight loss, random topics, fashion, etc., but I also want to talk about dolls more since I have once again found myself loving them again. And since I have found some lovely new doll friends and found more blogs I can read I plan on redoing my links to reflect that more so I can visit those blogs at least once a day or when time permits during the week.

What else? Oh yeah, so the cleaning up to much stuff doesn't just stop at all the links I have acquired. It also hints on the stuff I own. I am trying to cut back on a lot of stuff from dolls to clothes to videos...yes I said videos. Well yesterday I read, in one of my man Fitness magazines that I am trying to get rid of, that you have to alter your exercise so your body doesn't get used to it and make you stop losing. So I decided to do weights and I knew of a video I had that was good. So I went on the hunt for it in my room. And well in finding it I found something else. You'll see what below.

Exercise Videos and DVDs

That there are 20 exercise videos and dvds I have collected over the years. Barely used most of them are, and one isn't even opened! I just would see a cheap exercise video and think "Well maybe that will be the one to make me like exercise again." And well, yeah it didn't and I would forget about it and then find another cheap video. Oh man. And if you notice, Richard Simmons is most defiantly there. Three videos to be exact. I could never get into the Disco Sweat mind you...I felt silly. But...I might try it if it is something fun. I tried it once when I was younger and well I felt so silly, but now I think I am beyond that stage of having to look "cool" at all times. LOL!

Exercise Videos and DVDs

Another view of my exercise videos and dvds. I mean wow. And that's just a tiny part of my collection of videos and dvds. I am thinking of getting rid of most of my videos. I might try to sell some on my blog in the future to see if anyone is interested in them. They won't be for much. Just enough to make a little something on them to help me buy a doll or two. LOL! So what else?

Oh yeah, so I am working some furniture for some stories I plan on doing. I am still working on the kitchen sink. I actually pulled the sink apart and redid it because it was centered in the island and when I put a doll against it after it was all done I was broken-hearted to see that it was to awkward for a doll to use. So I took it apart and now I like it. At first I didn't want to take it apart but the perfectionist part of me wouldn't let me rest unless I did and I am so happy I did. Now there is counter surface which I wanted. I will take pictures of it later when I seal and finish it.

Office Desk

The other piece of furniture will be made from this. I had this dresser when I was a kid and got rid of it when I was older. I was happy to find it again when I was in the Salvation Army a while back. The mirror wasn't there, but I still saw potential in it. I think it would make a great desk. So I am working on it. I wanted to take a before picture before I started on it. Pictures of it soon, maybe tomorrow, of the work in progress.

Well that's about it for me today. Oh, before I go, I wanted to share this with you. My sister showed it to me the other day and it just made me giggle. Hope you enjoy.

Ok ladies and gents, I will talk to you lovelies later...tomorrow. :-) Be good until then, and bye for now! :-D
