Another day another doll…dress? *Warning, Doll Nipples Ahead!*

Hello my lovelies, how are you all doing today?  Me?  A hair better, but still dealing with acid that refuses to give me any kind of peace.  I’m hoping a does of Prilosec OTC will conquer this dragon of a beast finally.  Fingers crossed tight for me people please.  I reallyyyy need this to work.
But since I’m still not feeling well, this still leave me with nothing to really blog about today.  No projects have been started yet.  My shop still remains empty.  No interesting doll pictures have been taken.  Nothing people.  Sad smile  Sorry.  I so like being an entertaining hostess, but I just can’t force myself to do it right now.  And I so want to feel better very soon so I can sit up long enough to watch some tv.  Smidge Girl’s furniture is going to be on tv Friday!!!  And this girl has got to see it.  Been looking forward to that, so yes I have to feel better.  Smile
But then that leads me to today.  What do I talk about in this post?  I do know!!!  Hummm.  Oh well, here’s a question for you.  Look at the picture below.
Am I the only one that noticed the doll dress first before seeing the rest of the picture?  LOL!  Then I noticed the dress behind it which I love the color on and wish I could see more of.  But yeah, I was just wondering if I was the only weird one out there.  LOL!
Hummm, well I guess that is it for my weirdness today.  I’m going to close now and leave you with this interesting stop motion video of to Cy Girls fighting it out.  Warning there are enhanced doll boobies at the end of the video, so don’t view at work or in front of kids if you are worried about someone seeing some doll nip.  Enjoy.
Talk to you crazy cats later.

I don’t know if I want to share the fun after all.

Last one for the road kiddies, I swear. When I was looking for the proper embed code for the Barbie Dream House I remembered seeing an ad video for the 2006 Barbie Dream House and wanted to go back and look at it.  When I watched this video at first I thought it was a cute little sing-song ad.  That is until after Barbie got the girls into the house and went upstairs for a minute.  Have a look to see if you caught what I caught.

So like I said, it starts off all sing-song about sharing with Barbie.  Let’s share some fun, some music, some magic, oh and we can’t forget to share the laughs.  But after we share the laughs it gets a bit weird.  The sing-song turned very serious when we were suddenly “sharing the fun” in the bathroom.  Umm, what?  What the heck does flushing a toilet have to do with fun?!?  Umm I don’t know about you, but I am so not interested in sharing the fun with anyone when they are using the bathroom, nor during pre or post bathroom use time.  Then after this it gradually gets worse.  Now we are sharing in cleaning up the bathroom.  Then we are sharing doing Barbie’s laundry.  Then we see Barbie walk by all innocent, but at the end we see her poor friends looking out the door right before it is slammed in their faces.  By this time the sing-song has gotten eerily creepy and I was no longer interested in the 2006 Barbie Dream House.  LOL!  Ok, in all honesty I never was interested in the 2006 Barbie Dream House, but I was curious about the ad, and I’m so glad I went back to look at it.  Ok, come on, is that ad not creepy?  Maybe the kids didn’t see that and thought the bathroom scene was funny, but it just weirded me out.  LOL!  I don’t think I’m going over to Barbie’s house any time soon.  Smile

Ok, now I’m seriously off.  Research awaits me.  Bye for now guys.

USB People

Have you guys heard about the USB People?  They are flash drives that look like little people.  They kind of make me think of Lego or Playmobil people.  Have a look at this odd video about them under the cut.

Who’s your fave monster?

From Monster High that is.  Why do I ask?  Because you or someone close to you may be forced to make a choice.  Why?  Well for Halloween of course!

Clawdeen

Draculaura

Frankie Stein

Aren’t they cute?!?  I love Frankie’s outfit the most, but they are all cute.  I saw them in the Party City flier today.  But they really aren’t monsters to me.  Humm, I’ve gotta be able to do better than this.  Humm, oh I know!

A mix of me and Ariel.

Hehehe.  This is a morphed picture of me and Ariel.  I have to say we do not make an attractive morphed person.  Should I tell you which belongs to who?  Hummm…nahhhh…I’ll keep you guessing.  :-D  Ok, I really need to try to get some sleep.  I just feel icky to the tummy, and it’s hard to sleep when it feels bad.  But I’m going to try now since it’s so late.  Later lovelies.

One more to torture you with.

So I made one more morph of a friend I forgot to make.

Baby Making Series - Brian

This one is of me and my friend Brian.  He always said he’d love to be the mommy of his child.  He’s gay but would like to be a daddy one day and it honored me that he considered me as potential mommy material.  So I had to try a morph with him and not to bad if I might say so myself.  :-)  Ok, now I’m seriously taking off.  Night all.

Boredom, babies, and Brad Pitt.

I know what you are thinking.  “Um, Chelle, what’s up with that title?”  :-D  Hehehehe.  I was bored tonight after doing some cleaning and not really getting to other things I wanted or needed to do and I decided to take a break and try out this morphing website I heard about.  I had always wanted to try those “See what your baby will look like,” sites but they want an email and a cell phone number and umm yeah so not worth it to get spam.  So when I heard about the Morph Thing website I had to try it out.  Following is my adventure in baby making…with random men.  :-)

Baby Making Series - Prince

We’ll start off with this little beauty.  She’s a mix of me and Prince, as in the singer.  He and I have decided that we are either going to name her Diamond, Pearl, or Nikki.

Baby Making Series- Taye Diggs

Next up and my baby with Taye Diggs.  Seems to be a little messed up in the genes there.  We aren’t sure who’s genes messed things up but we love this little one just the same.

Baby Making Series - Steve Martin

This next little darling looks a lot like her father Steve Martin.  Why Steve?  Why not?!?  Ok, I had a mini crush on him back in the day…and maybe still do have a tiny one on him now.  :-)

Baby Making Series - Adrien Brody

My next beautiful baby comes from my brief affair with Adrien Brody.  We lived, we loved, and then I left.  He had to many issues.  So not a situation to raise children.

Baby Making Series - Hitler

Now this next one is a prime example why you shouldn’t sign up for those free science evaluations.  I thought I was going in for sleep therapy and nine months later this little one came along.  Come to find out, I was one of many experimented on to produce the spawn of Hitler.  I know!  But alas, he’s mine, so I love him.  :-)

Baby Making Series - Harry Potter

So my next child is the next great wizard of all time.  He’s just missing his daddy’s scar, thank goodness.  I think Harry Potter proved that having a cool lightening bolt scar isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Baby Making Series - Brad Pitt

Now this next one gets more to the title of the post.  Brad and Angelina have decided that instead of running all over the world to adopt a child they’d just open up a program to allow people to reproduce for them.  Since I had nothing going on at the mo’ I decided meh why not.  This young lad is the product of that program.  I was paid handsomely and you can expect this little one’s photo spread in the next issue of People Magazine.

Baby Making Series - Obama

Now after having Brad’s baby, I decided I needed to up my stats and make it a little harder to get my quality genes.  I wanted my next child to really make an impact on the world.  It was at this time I got a call from Obama in search of the original Michelle.  Well, this was an opportunity I was not prepared to turn down.  So here is our little one Miylieta.  You like that name?  So do I.  :-)

Baby Making Series - Ewan McGregor

Now my last, and I must admit, favorite celeb baby is with my believe Ewan MrGregor.  The cutest thing, right?  So cute, and I’m sure Ariel and Ewan’s wife will understand.  :-D

Baby Making Series - David

Now these next few are just babies I could potentially have with some friends.  David.  This one I had to try because he was my first boyfriend and we’d always planned to have kids one day.  So this was interesting.

Baby Making Series - Shawn

Shawn, who almost didn’t make it in this post because he had an issue about me posting this picture.  Um yeah, you can’t tell what he looks like from this picture alone.  I will say this much, I don’t wear glasses so those are his.  The rest I’ll let you guess on.  :-)

Baby Making Series - Kenny

Kenny.  I don’t know why I’m kind of disturbed how girlie she looks in this one.  If you all knew him you’d understand more about what I mean.

Baby Making Series - Ariel

Now these last two babies are products of me and Ariel.  This one I see as being our son.  He has my nose and cheeks and his daddy’s brows and chin.  The eyes seem to be a mix of the two leaning more towards mine.

Baby Making Series - Ariel

And this one I see being our daughter.  And oddly enough she looks a lot like me with a strong hint of him in there.  They eyes are my shape but the coloring really isn’t either.  Maybe a mix.  She has my cheeks, his mouth and chin, and I believe a mix of our brows.

Now one funny thing about all these pictures are no matter how I morphed them they all ended up with the Serba nose.  The folks on my mom’s side of the family have this little ball at the end of their noses and I got it also and it passed on to all these babes.  It does make me wonder if that will carry on to any kids I have.  Ariel has strong facial features like a strong nose so his could win out or it could be a mix of both which would be interesting to see.  LOL!

Just a regular morph.

And for a final morph, I decided to try morphing me and my favorite actress ever Audrey Hepburn.  It’s interesting to see myself morphed with her.  There’s a lot of her in there, but even she has the Serba nose.  LOL!  The nose reigns supreme!!!

So I hoped you enjoyed this and run off to morph yourself with celebs or people you know.  It’s a fun way to kill some time.  I wanted to post something doll related, but since I have nothing to report on right now I decided to just post this instead so I have something to post today.  But I’m off now to get some sleep.  I still have a lot of things to catch up on *coughemailscoughcommentscoughetccough* But just wanted to make sure I posted today.  Talk to you all tomorrow.  Bye for now.  :-)

Just opened my time capsule.

Reading a letter from myself from over a year ago just freaked me the hell out.  So many things the me of 2009 wanted to happen.  So many things the me of 2010 didn’t make happen.  I am glad I did this experiment.  I think I am going to make it a yearly thing.  I was going to put everything back in for 3 years but I think I want to do it for a year again.  Not sure.  Will think about it some.  It’s weird how I didn’t want the letter to end.  I wanted to keep this connection to my then 30 year old self who was worried about her upcoming 31st birthday.  She had so many questions and the 32 year old self of now has no answers for her.  I hope to make my 33 year self much happier.  So I think I seal the tin again for another year and then see where I want to go with it.  I’ll take some pictures later of some of the items in the box.  I need to collect some new stuff so I can seal it back up tomorrow for another 365 days.  Hummm…just such a weird experience.  Well, gotta return to my guests.  Talk to you all later on.  Bye for now.

Uh…say what?!?

Ok, I know this isn’t a doll post, but I HAD to post this.  So I was on Amazon with my close pal Kenny looking for Hello Kitty stuff, long story, and I found the oddest thing.  Sterling Silver Hello Kitty Earrings.

Now what is odd about these earrings?  Well first off, these earrings are $1,126.92.  No lying.  And sure I thought well maybe  it’s the quality of the earrings, but if you look at the picture you will see that one charm is different from the other.  One charm has a bigger face than the other.  The bows, nose, whiskers, eyes, even the hoop at the top are all different sizes.  These are simple craft store charms.  I pity the person who actually buys these items.  I have seen inflated prices on Amazon for sure, but umm…say what???  Ok, I just had to show you guys this.  I was in serious shock when I saw this.  Ok, if you have any thoughts on why these earrings are so expensive feel free to give me your thoughts.  Ok, off to bed…at 8 in the morning.  Ugh!!!  I need to get back no a normal schedule!!!  Bye for now kids.

A quick pop in.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been posting much. Still Spring cleaning mostly. I know I have some comments I need to get back to and I will do that this week. Thank you for all the comments, I love getting them. I hope when I am done with the cleaning I can respond to them quicker.

During my breaks from cleaning I've also been working on my website which has a new layout, my shop banners, and my links and favorites so I can have a big list of all the cool doll places I've found online and can just easily add to the list when I find more. So that's where I am at now.

Oh, but also while doing all that I will surf the web to find some new stuff to look at and I found myself on this neat site called "We Heart It" It's a site where you can heart pictures you find online. I know there may be some copyright issues with the site, but the site links back to the page all pictures on the site were found. So I honestly think it's just more exposure for the sites the pictures came from.

Now on this site I found a very interesting picture I just had to share. Now while this picture is not bad in the least, until you get a good look at it you may think I've just gotten raunchy on you all today. I would not view it in front of kids or at work because of what it "looks" like from the passerby. So here goes, take a look at this interesting picture. Warning, doll nudity. :-D

Ok, now that the shock has worn off, admit it, it's pretty freaking cool. I just thought that was so cool. I mean talk about realistic looking right? My only ish is the male doll doesn't seem to have knee joints and the female doesn't have joints at all except for the arms and legs. Poo. But I'd still be tempted to buy both "dolls" because of how realistic they look. LOL! But yeah, just had to share that with you guys. Now I'm off to watch Easter Parade with my sister and then exercise. Bye for now. Be good.

Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS2)

Photobucket

Ok, let me first go on record as saying, this was the BIGGEST PIECE O' POO GAME produced. Please excuse my language, but Tomb Raider Underworld for Playstation 2 is not worth the month or trouble I had to go through to get it. Let me explain.

Ok, so when I first heard about Underworld, I was a little sad it was "only coming out o PS3", or at least that what all the articles I read said. Then later I saw it was coming out for PS2 and I got all excited. I heard that I could pre-order it, so I went to Amazon and pre-ordered the PS2 one while my mom pre-ordered the PS3 one. I don't own a PS3, but I do use one, but I wanted the PS2 version just because I have all the others that came out for PS2 and I figured I could get the PS3 version later when it became a greatest hit or something. So when I went to order I was a little confused on why the PS2 version didn't come out until 2009 when the PS3 version came out in 2008. I was a little sad about that. I knew I wouldn't play the Ps3 version much because at the time I couldn't get comfortable for playing long amounts of time where the PS3 was. But I went ahead and ordered the game and told everyone not to ruin it for me.

Well, the release date for the PS2 version kept getting pushed back for some reason, which irritated me to no end. But finally a day was concrete and I waited. The day came and went, and I waited. A week past, and it hit me nothing had come. Come to find out, Amazon had canceled my order, saying I didn't confirm it. One, I never got an email asking me to confirm, and two, when you order layaway stuff you have to agree that you understand that the product would be sent when it's released. Oh that got me so angry. I would have to wait another week or more for it to show up. I said eff that and decided to pay tax and go look for it in town. I could not find a single copy! So I HAD to go back to Amazon. A little over a week later it showed up. By now I was so disheartened, I just checked to make sure it worked and then tossed it to the side for the rest of the year.

It wasn't until I saw the PS3 version for sale for $9.99 that my mom wanted to get the PS2 version for $16.99. She started playing it and kept asking where I was in the game. Finally I just decided to play it so she'd stop asking. She beat the game just as I started playing and she started doing that annoying "I won't tell you how it ends. I won't tell you what happened." It almost seems smug to me. Like, "Haha, I know how it ends and you don't." But maybe this is just my grumbleglower that she knew how it ended and she could rub my face in it that she knew before me. My sister had beat the PS3 version a day after we got it, so I had to beat this game. I HAD to.

So I played, and got almost to the end when I got a part that gave me so much stress that I just quit there and called it a day. I had gone through so much crap with this game, I just didn't want to give it any more of my time that day. You see, I do not feel this game should have been called Underworld. I feel it should have been called Glitch City, because that is all this game is! The developers really let this game down. The PS2 version is a very watered down version of the original game. The took out one of the things that I loved in Tomb Raider. They took the sprint ability out. So you had to deal with her slow run the whole way through. Why they took this out, I don't know, but it was really bothersome. Eventually you don't notice it, but its still irksome in long hallways.

Then there was the watered down game play. I believe the Wii version was worse than the PS2 version. I feel for you Wii owners. I would like to play that version one day just to see what its like. If its how I suspect it is, I have no idea why the game producers honestly even bothered.

So the game picks up where the last game left us. Let me just say the last game was beautiful. The scenery, the gameplay, all pluses. This game was just like watered down cola. Its still cola, but lacks that strong cola taste you know and love. My sister told me the game was a quick game on PS3, but there was a lot more you had to do to reach your goals. The PS2 version made it TOO easy. Now mind you, I do like one thing in the game. No medi packs. It was like Uncharted. Give her a chance to catch her breath, and Laura was fine in a few seconds. It made doing daring jumps a little easier to do since you didn't have to worry about your energy much. Now that is something I'd like to see in any future Tomb Raider games.

Apart from that, the game did nothing for me. It wasn't much a challenge. No, I tell a lie. There were challenges...trying to work around the effing glitches!!! My mom kept going on about glitches and I didn't understand until I got into the game more. You push for Laura to shimmy left and her ass just stayed there. I would have to push several times to get her to move. Heaven forbid you let go accidentally and have to repeat. Then there were parts that if you didn't dismount or do something right she'd land somewhere else where she wouldn't move and you'd have to let her die and start over because she was stuck. WTF?!? These glitches alone caused me to spend more time working on certain levels longer than I needed to. I would clearly land on rocks, her body would be perfectly on rock, but she would still die because she "supposedly" landed in the toxic pool of water. What?!?!? She'd get stuck walking across beams and wouldn't walk onto the platform it lead to until you stopped pushing and even then sometimes she wouldn't. The camera angles were crap. Complete and utter crap!!!

If you can't tell, this game stressed me out beyond belief just from all the effing glitches. I have NEVER had a problem with a Tomb Raider game like I did this one. I wish the producers would have done us PS2 players a favor and just not dumbed it down for PS2. It was honestly like a slap in the face to Tomb Raider fans. I plan to get back to the PS3 one tomorrow and see how it fairs. I hope it has better game play, because right now I am not expecting much. No, correction, I'm expecting more of the same as the PS2 one. But I have slight hope for it. When I finish it, you all will be the first to know.

So on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being worse and 5 being best, I give this game a 2. The gameplay sucked. Sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked! Glitches, glitches, and more glitches. If you are looking for an easy version of them game then this game is for you, but I feel it will end up being more of a challenge then fighting a few more people and monsters in the PS3 version with all the glitches. Have I mentioned enough about the glitches yet? Anyhoo, the scenery? Sucked! The graphics were just awful, especially if you played other Tomb Raider games, you will see how awful the graphics were in this game. And this isn't me coming from PS3 and the beauty of Uncharted talking. The graphics were just horrible. It was like the original Tomb Raider minus the pointy boobs and hoof hands. Really disappointing. The game's one saving point has to be the ability to go back and play all the levels after you beat the game and you have a few choices of clothing and weapons you can use. I believe there is some artwork to look at as well, but I didn't look yet. After I bet it, I was so glad I didn't have to deal with it any more I just turned it off.

I honestly felt after the game was done I was missing something. I honestly didn't know if I should just turn the game off or if more was coming. I mean, the ending was so abrupt and this game was probably the first game I thought was a waste of my time. More reasoning why I am worried about playing the PS3 version. But I will do it for two reasons. One, it was a Christmas gift, and two, because I want to see how it differs from PS2's version. So stay tuned for that fellow gamer geeks and geekas. Until then, I'm going to go relax and start on the second Phoenix Wright game. That should be an interesting game at least...fingers crossed. :-)

Happy New Year everyone!

Photobucket

Happy New Year to all of you. If you are going out tonight please be safe. Whatever you are doing, please do have a lovely time.

Photobucket

As we go into a new year and a new decade I am thinking back on the last ten years and am shock over the wild ride my life has taken. I met the man of my dreams, I gained friends and lost friends, I discovered new things about myself, I got a degree, I gained two and a half pets, I lost one pet, I gained new hobbies, I stopped doing old hobbies, and that's just skimming the top of all that has happened to me in the past ten years.

Now I think on what the next year and hopefully ten years will hold for me. Where will I be once the next decade comes to a close? So much can and has happened in ten years, so its anyone's guess where we will all be in 10 years. I mean, we can't forget about 2012...not that I'm really worried about that. I'll wait until December 2012 to worry about it. Right now I'll worry about getting back no track with blogging and other stuff I have planned for next year.

Well I am off guys and gals. Thank you to all of you who have joined me this year and followed my blog. I hope to be very entertaining next year for all of you and I hope to learn more about all of you through your blogs. But that can wait until tomorrow. Until now let's just enjoy the last few minutes of 2009. I'll see all you lovelies next year. ;-) Bye for now.

Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney

Phoenix Wright

Hey guys, I am back with a review. I used to do them a lot in the past and just stopped, so I thought I'd pick them back up again. As some of you know I like to play video games in my spare time. Here lately I like playing with my DS a lot and one of the games I finally finished was Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney.

Ok, first let me say that while this game is fun, its long and seems a bit drawn out to me. The one thing I hate about the game is ALL THE READING! Seriously, you are reading for about a good hour learning about the case and collecting evidence. Then you are reading another hour for the court session. Then you may have to go collect more evidence...another hour of reading. Another court session...another hour of reading. And then you are done...with only one case! LOL! There were about five on this game. The last one is like a freaking whole new game in itself.

I did love, however, collecting evidence. Some of the stuff you had to do was pretty cool. And the end credits were among some of the coolest I've seen on a game. But after playing that I wanted to take a break from it...until my sister handed me the second in the series to play. Ummmm...what?!? I plan to finish it in a week...plan to.

The characters in this game were easy to love. From their cute names, to their silly backstories and relations to the case. And once you figure out what happened, how it was done, where it was done, and who did it, you are just amazed as the story unfolds.

So my rating for the game on a scale of one to five, one being worse and five being best, I give it 4 and half stars. It would have gotten 5 stars if not for allllll theeee freakingggggg readinggggg. LOL! It just goes so slow to get up on the screen and it just seemed to dance around the information you really want to know. And what drove me batty the worst was a gentleman in the last case that would constantly make a dramatic pause and you couldn't do anything but wait until he was done. Omg!!! That drove me batty!!! But through it all I guess I am ready to start on the second one. Be prepared to see another game review from me soon about that one. :-) But as for this game, I highly recommend it for those who like puzzle games or CSI shows. You will be very entertained. :-)

*Waves* I'm back!

Hey ladies and gents, I'm feeling a lot better and am back to blogging. If you have left me a comment over the past couple of weeks, thank you so much for them and I have responded to all of them. I just haven't been feeling well and just wanted to comment on other blogs and not touch my blog until I felt better. I've been collecting things I have wanted to comment on while I was not feeling my best, but my tummy is back to manageable so I will slowly start posting those posts.

So first of all, how have you all been?!? Yes, I have checked on your blogs, but I wanted to ask still. :-) I so need to comment on so many of your blogs. I will get there, I promise. That is what sucks about feeling sick, trying to catch up on people's blogs and I am still going through links to collect the blogs I want to read and ditch the ones I haven't looked at. If you are reading this, your blog is not one of the ones I am ditching so no worries. :-)

Ok, so who is ready for something crazy? I have it right here for you. Look at this box I put in our living room just a little while ago.

Humm...

Any idea what it is? And before any of you ask, no that is not dust on the table. LOL! My mom put wax on the table and it made the table get this weird whiteish look to it. She's tried cleaning it off, but it won't come of for some reason. We don't think it messed with the finish, just coated it. I will have to take a full picture of the table for you one day. Maybe later this week, its pretty cool.

Humm...

Here's a clue for you.

Humm...

Why do I feel like I just heard the gasp heard round the blogosphere? Yes ladies and gentlemen, that IS out Christmas tree STILL in the box ELEVEN days away from Christmas. I'm only saving face because some people don't put there's up until Christmas Eve and a lot of my friends haven't put theirs up yet either and don't plan to. We are going to attempt to do it tomorrow. When I get it up, I will upload pictures and try to take a video of it. Since my camera only captures 1 minutes and 30 seconds on film I will have to make it into a montage. For those that have dial-up I will upload all the pictures to Flickr for you to see.

Oh, if you have your tree up, I'd love to see your tree pictures. Let me know if you posted pictures of your tree somewhere. And if you haven't, well what are you waiting for? Take some, post them, and share. :-)

Oh, speaking of Christmas, what is everyone doing Christmas Eve? I was thinking of trying to arrange a doll chat on the forum. For those of you who don't know or haven't signed up, I have created a forum for dolls and toys. I had let it go stale while I dealt with tummy issues. But now I am trying to promote it again. You can see it here. You have to sign up to see several sections of the forums. The first 50 to sign up get special privileges. :-) I need to give some of the people who signed up theirs actually. So please go on over to The Toy Box and sign up. I would love to see you all there, and would love it if you pass on the link to your friends or blog about it on your blog to get the word out. I'd love to form a nice close knit doll family there. So please help me get the word out? I'll be your best friend. :-D

Ok, I think this post is long enough. More to come. Bye for now.

An update!

Ok, so I am giving up on writing for today and decided to update here real quick before bed.

So I wasn't sure what to talk about first. So I will just talk about what came first. My Barbie Fashionistas. I just recently completely my collection. Very excited about that. I was going to switch the last three blondes I got out with other dolls, but I just can't ruin the set. Ugh! Oh well. Here is some pic spam of my girls plus my Alvin Ailey doll.

I love these gals. I can't wait to get them in some photostories and in some clothes to take pictures of them. Of course my camera is getting ready to die and I am out of batteries. Ugh! Oh well, I will get some soon enough. Just being lazy now. But they are just to cool.

So from there I go into the crafts I have been working on.

Crafted Poofs

The knitted poofs, made on my grandmother's vintage knitting machine, are going to be made into something. I've already made one thing and I am not a big fan of it, but it was a prototype. I will take a picture of it soon for you all. Just need to get my sister to model it for me. But hummmm, what could this be for? :-)

Next is a doll craft.

Kitchen Sink

So I have a doll house I have used in doll photostories once or twice but I hated it because it doesn't have a kitchen sink. How weird is that? So I wanted to make one. My mom had a bathroom sink to one of my sisters old Barbie bathrooms and I started thinking on how to make it work. Then I got a box a while back that was perfect Barbie height and island width. So the other day when I was feeling sick, to get my mind off things I went to work on it. Its still a work in progress. This first picture is where I glued the sink into a hole I cut into the box. It needed to be weighed down.

The Kitchen Sink

This next one is it all glued together with the sink painted a metallic grey. Also you can barely see it, but there are pin posts in the cabinet doors. I thought they would work but I didn't like them. But I already glued them in. Damn! But I adjusted them to make them a little more visible. Pictures to come of the final product soon.

And one more picture for you comedy relief.

A Lazy Moment

A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in my craft room on the laptop getting into something online. I didn't want to get up and turn the light on when it started to get dark, but I couldn't see the plug under my desk to plug in my laptop. So what did I do? I tried to flash the camera so I can use the flash to guide my hand. Well...the flash was to quick so I had to get up any way. *FAIL* LOL! So yeah, in case any of you wanted to know, the camera flash is to quick to use as a light. Ok that just gave me an idea for a thriller/horror story. Hummm...yep, gonna use it in a story that I am continuing on next month.

Well, I had better stop before I write a novel. Just wanted to update you all on what I have been up to. I am off now to feed my ferret, brush my teeth, and crawl into bed with a book. Tomorrow I need to get back to writing...but what? Hummm...I'll worry about it tomorrow. Bye for now.

New forum, NaNoWriMo, and dollies...oh my!

Photobucket

I know! I know! I'm such a bad blog owner as of late. The past few days have been filled with friend drama, family drama, personal drama, and its finally settled out some. SOME! Ugh, still a lot to deal with, but I need to get my game face on and get ready for November first. That date is just glowing in my mind like a neon beer sign. Its exciting to learn about more and more people that will be going through the chaos with me. Nat, I will so need to buddy you and Erica on the Nano site. What are your Nano nicks and I'll buddy you. Would love to give and get support, I am attempting two novels and I am still outlining the first one. I got lazy this month. Ahhh!!! But I work better under pressure anyway. Yeah. *Nervously bites fingernails.*

So in other news, I have been working on a forum for dolls and toys and I thought I would open it on Halloween, but decided against that. I decided to open it now to hopefully get some people to help me beta test it. The forum is call The Toy Box - Doll and Toy Forum. The first 50 members will have instant access to the Marketplace since I will need to test it out. I will also need moderators for the forum as well. I just want some people to go on there and try everything out. There is a chatroom on there that refreshes every 5 seconds. Its pretty cool. It keeps the chat of the last people who used it so you can see what was talked about and respond. I also have an adult section for more mature posting or for those adults who would rather have their convo be for mature eyes only. So please feel free to join the forum and pass the link on to your other doll and toy friends.

Well I guess I need to explain a bit about the forum first. Ok, so I have been looking for a place that I can share about any doll I own be it Barbie to Blythe to a ball-joint doll. Most doll forums have strict rules on what you can share on their forums. That's cool, but I just wanted to share more. I also wanted to allow toys on the forum for those that wanted to share their new toy finds. This is all in beta right now and some things may work and some may not. I will adjust things as they level out. But if you are looking for a place to come chat about dolls and toys of any kind...well not the porno kind, then please stop by and register. A lot of the board is visible without registering, but you can't comment unless you do register. There are some off topic boards along with the Marketplace and Adult Lounge that are not visible to guests. I felt those sections needed to be kept private. The Marketplace and Adult Lounge can only be accessed when rights are given. The first 50 people will get instant access to them, but after that, members will have to go by the access gaining rules, which aren't really that hard to do. So yeah, check out The Toy Box and let me know what you think. Send me plenty of pms, I'm mouse1996 on there. Please so not send anything to member Test, as it was just made for me to test for things like what can guests see whatnot.

And finally onto dollies. So I have this big project I want to take on. I want to sew up baggies and outfits for several dolls for Christmas for the Salvation Army. I have decided to keep it simple and just sew a tube and make a dress out of that for all the doll out of stretch fabric using Dorriebelle's concept for making sock clothing. I have tons of it and don't know what to do with it, so I will use it up on this project. Not sure how many I will make, especially since this November is book solid.

I know I will have a few days in December to work on it, but I don't want to get so behind that I don't complete anything. Still need to pull out all my old dolls and give them a wash and brush. Then I need to figure out my quick pattern for a dress and I plan to make cloth boots that will look more like socks. I picked that method since I don't know if these dolls will go to really young children who might swallow regular shoes. You know, I always wondered why when we are young, swallowing odd things didn't bother us. Hummmm... Anyway, yeah, so I need to hit the ole fabric stash and bring out all the dolls that I plan to use. This will help greatly reduce what I own and give someone a smile. I'm rather excited to do this. :-) Oh yeah, I want to make baggies for each doll as well so the kids and carry them around or use the baggies as purses. I also wanted to make little cards to go on the pull ties that say Merry Christmas from Santa, but I don't know if this is only for Christmas. I believe it is, but I think to be safe I should just say Happy Holidays. What do you all think? Hummm...

Well that's about it for today peeps. I may come back a bit later to post about some stuff I have been working on. I want to work on my outline a lot today since the 31st will be here in now time and I told myself I will be done and ready to go by the 31st. I am sleepy now, but I can sleep tomorrow away. I must outline. I am stuck on chapter 1 of novel 1. Getting nervous here. I am worried this year I won't win. But I would hate to not make it to 50,000. Ahhhh!!! Ok, I am off. Later kiddies.

I want to be a naughty librarian.

Photobucket

I love this costume. I would love to own it. The skirt is was makes it for me. Oh, I have a librarian in one of my stories. Its a magic related story and I think this skirt would be a perfect inspiration for her outfit. Very cute.

Oh and I was on a roll today. I just finished a short-short story about a mailman. This I may just post online since I don't plan to try to get it published anywhere. Still want to tweak it some, but will hold off on that for a week or so to get a fresh mind about it. Its kind of told in an Edgar Allen Poe voice. Ok, off to exercise now so I can create later. :-)

So weird.

So my mom called me downstairs to look at something and she found where someone had put a picture of my brother's gravestone up on Find A Grave. This for some reason was very bothersome to me. It almost felt like a violation of our privacy and his. Not to mention it made me face what I have been trying to avoid for years now, the realization that he's really gone and not just on an extended vaca somewhere. No, I am not that delusional, but I try not to think about it so I can mentally try to keep going. I haven't been to his grave in years and so I forgot what it looked like and I don't have to think of his body six feet under it. But seeing it on the internet made me cry. I miss him so much and on the 12th he will have been gone 10 years. :-( All these sites are having 10 year anniversaries like LJ and MSN and me and my boyfriend had one too and then I have to end the year with this. Like I mentioned before, the end of the year is kind of hard on us and well the 12th will be really hard on me. I wish I could get into more detail about his death and why it affects me in such a bad way, moreso than the fact that my brother had passed, but I don't think now is the right time. Another time perhaps. I guess I just wanted to vent a bit since it made me feel so sad. I'm better now. I found out there is a famous war hero in his cemetery, Eugene Ashley, Jr. He saved his fallen comrades and didn't think anything of himself. He eventually passed out from his wounds and was carried to safety where they were all attacked and he sadly died. When I'm in a better mental state I think I will check out that site more and see what other famous people I can find in NC. Gonna go work on my shop some more now. I have one item up already. Working on 5-6 more now. Talk to you all later.
